Ok, whatever you say...you sound very knowledgeable. Should be fine once I get the 28's on it. ha

Yup. I've owned three VWs and never had an issue with any of them. My 2010 Tacoma was one of the most problematic vehicles that I've owned. Now I've got my fingers crossed that my 2015 Tacoma isn't one of the bad ones.

Once you get the 28's on it you'll need to re-gear and start stockpiling center diff's. Until then you could start the counter on how many shifts you have before you lose 2'nd.

You didn't read the fine print it will tow 6500 with an extra leaf and stiffer shocks and don't forget the equalizer hitch.

Not disappointed at all with mine, 'cause I know exactly what I'd get and what to expect. Had a 2006 DC LB 4x4 Base model for 7 years (sold it after 7 yrs and 140 000kms for $15k, crazy!), then get a Highlander for the past 3 years for family reasons (7 passengers is nice to haul the gang). Now back in a 2015 DC LB 4x4 SR5 for a week and it take all of 30 seconds to feel at home again. Didn't miss the plush ride of the Highlander at all. It's a truck, less isolated from road noise, with a firm ride, a grunty engine and less fancy gadgets to break. Only things I'll add are a tailgate powerlock (already in the mail), and the heated mirrors kit.

Lol. You guys are all assholes, but then so am I. JK about being assholes, I haven't had my morning coffee yet.

In all honesty it sucks when you buy a vehicle that in your mind is a POS. I test drove three Tacoma's at a dealership up island and they ALL had the steering wheel shimmy. When I mentioned it to the sales manager and salesman they both said 'it's the tires blah blah blah'. So change the fucking tires...I called bullshit and walked away. Off to the local dealership I go and neither of the two Tacoma's I drove had any issues, all five trucks had the same tires, same model truck. WTF?!? All I can say is I'm glad my truck seems to be a Wednesday truck in that I don't have any issues at all. OP, I'm still scratching my head as to why you would buy a truck you didn't like??? I can see overlooking the rear defroster in assuming it would have one but the Tacoma is essentially a ten year old truck...when you think about it.

My 2014 Santa Fe Sport Limited (full load) with blind spot detection, side back up detection - or whatever it's called etc etc was a NIGHTMARE as soon as to ODO hit 5K Kms. The damn thing melted spark plugs every 4 or 5K, had transmission problems, suspension problems, the stereo would freeze and although I could still play music the 'Don't drive like and asshole and put your fucking phone down' message would be all I could see on the screen. Yes I had it in the dealership every time I had an issue but I got tired of the shop having my car as much as I did. More to the point, I got tired of driving a vehicle I couldn't depend on.

Having a POS vehicle takes away from the pleasure of ownership. At the end of the day all you can do is trade it in or live with it until they fix it, and that's a shitty position to be in.

Sorry to hear you're so unhappy.
