Researching Bilstein 6112s for the front, Bilstein 5100s for rear, Toyota light racing UCAs if needed, Pro Comp 7036 series 17s, BFG AT KO2 275/70 17s
Hi guys, I'm giving serious consideration to the bilstein 5100 front shocks instead of the 6112s, cash running a little low after I ordered my 17" pro comps and my BFG 265/70 AT KO2s. I still haven't completely ruled out the 6112s, just giving the 5100s some serious consideration as I can do this whole setup for around $1200, that includes front and rear shocks, new coils, new UCA, and aal, as opposed to just over $1700 for the 6112 setup. My question is if I did go with the 5100s which coil would be best. I have a 2011 TRD 4X4 Off Road, dcsb. I don't do super heavy duty off roading often, maybe once a year in the sierra nevadas above shaver lake, but even though I don't do it often I don't want to be too limited by my gear. I've see some mention OME 885s, and Eibach coils, what do you guys recommend? One other question, would I see a lot more capability on my truck with the 6112s as opposed to the 5100s? Thanks guys!

as an alternative to new coils for these shocks, can the original be used? what kind of height would I get out of the original coils, looking for between 2" - 2.5". Truck is a 2011 and has about 30K miles, not really worn out, thanks.

If you get the 5100's and OME 885 coils you shouldn't need new UCA's since you will not get the full 3" lift in the front. That is what I have and was able to get perfect alignment specs. If you get the eibach coils, some people preload the shocks to the .85 setting to get the same lift as the 5100's set at 0 with 885's.

I have 5100s set at 2.5" with the stock coils and no new UCAs.

I'm swapping them out for new UCAs and 887 coils soon. I don't have any issues though. Just want more lift. You'd be fine with my set up.

SixthSnail---is there an advantage/disadvantage over stock/OME 884/eibach coils? which is best? I will be running 17s on BFG 265/70 AT KO2s and I want the lifted look, if i have to get uca's I'll get the LR uca's, thanks for the help

1200 for 5100's in all 4 corners, AAL and UCA? that seems way steep.

    320 for 5100s
    150 for AAL
    400 for SPC UCA's
    170 for coils

FYI i run 5100's @1.75 and stock TRD OR coils and love the ride, its more firm than stock but its a proper plush firm if that makes sense. I wouldnt run them at 2.5 setting though

    = ~1050

Ah yeah..... i guess, i do all my own work on my truck so install is not something i consider. Though yeah if you were to have it installed 1200 would be pretty good

I just had the Bilstein 5100 set at 0 with 884 springs put on my 2015 TRD and the ride is totally better than the stock bilsteins. I was going to go with the 6112 but changed my mind.

I'm not positive honestly. I've heard that OME coils give a better ride. I'm doing 887s solely because I want more lift.

How much lift did that give you in the front?

Hi SixthSnail, which setting did you set your 5100s with stock coil to get the 2.5"? Just irdered mine and I'll be using my stock coils, I'm having them installed same time as new wheels and tires, I need to tell shop what setting I want them set to, I also ordered a 1.5" aal, hoping it all comes out level, thanks!

The top setting if you want a 2.5 with stock coils.

It leveled my truck out. It's about 2 inches.
