I dunno. I'm of the mindset that the majority of people that say "I don't have time for ______________" are just making excuses. I've always found time in my life to do the things I'm passionate about. That's with a full time job (that I travel for every month), wife, and 2 kids. Granted I don't watch much TV, don't use FaceBook, I couldn't give a flying fuck about pro sports anymore, the only video games I play are with my kids, and I've always been driven. There's always time if you set your priorities around what you truly care about.

F'n'a right! ^^^^^^^ What's a television? Haha. Same here. Think of all the time you'd have when you quit watching real housewives.

Ok I gotcha now. With a CV joint, you aim the pinion strait at the output shaft (or CB if you have one), and then kick it down 2-3*.
With just a conventional two joint driveshaft...I honestly don't know. I've only set pinion with CV driveshafts. I'd imagine you'd want the pinion to be strait and parallel with the output shaft. Adding more pinion angle is just going to add more angle to the u-joints and more stress. Honestly if it was mine, I'd replace the 2 joint with a CV driveshaft.

Yeah I have a TW, nothing else. I also don't have a problem finding time to do what I enjoy as a hobby. The key is to enjoy everything else as well. Im a bad planner and enjoy living in the moment.

Good question. Nothing planned at the moment. Kinda wanted to get one more trip in before winter sets in.

Found a $300 t-100 axle. Is that the same pretty much as an 99-06 tundra? Or should I wait for an actual tundy. Seen the arb, 3rd, and gears for $1.5k.

There's no difference. Take the T100 and run. Exact same third member. Housing is slightly different, but for all intensive purposes the same. No ABS option though...but as far as I"m concerned that's an advantage.
You can get a completely build third with ARB cheaper than that from ECGS.

He said it just needs new brakes because they are coversed in oil. I said prolly from blown seals. He says maybe. Thought on that?

I think it was ecgs I called.

Drums are cheap and easy. I'd change them regardless.
Axle seal is not difficult either as long as you have the right tool. If they are covered in oil, you'll need a new seal for sure. May as well check the bearings too.

I swear I payed less for my 3rd. But I could be wrong. I try not to keep track of the money I spend on the RDP.

Sounds good. I'll prolly get it then as long as I can do the bearing and seal myself relatively easily

I have to ask because I feel like I have too many damn hobbies that suck money so I can't seem to focus on one. Is the taco pretty much your only real expensive hobby?

Between my taco, my motorcycles/styles of riding/snowboarding/ etc I feel like funds are always split. I feel like if I really stuck to my guns and said only focus on one hobby I'd be able to put a ton more money/time towards it but I have hobby ADD.
