    How much of a pain was the annex to zip on?

    First go around took about 10 minutes to figure it all out, it zips together at the top and comes with a rubber flooring that also zips on the bottom. Second time around took me about 5 mins. I just fold the annex and stuff inside the tent when it's folded up.

    Does it? Cause we tried to fold it in with the annex still attached and it was too bulky. I assume you have to remove the bar on the overhang @Cascadia Tents ?
    Either way I don't mind zipping it together since it's simple.

    My take away was, you have to remove it, but if you stuff it in the tent it will fold up with it, so you have to zip it every time. Based off your comment above answering my question

    Oh ok I thought you knew. But yeah I've been zipping it on/off then folding it nicely and then I place it inside on the mattress and it's still folds up with it.

    And here's a general idea for those that want to see the Shasta in the cover and how much surface area it takes up - DCSB

    I have a Mt. Shasta on a Land Cruiser. I'm in Tucson and would be more than happy to let you check it out before making your purchase.

    I have seen the same tent in other brands, I am just trying to decide if I go with the bachelor, will I regret not spending the additional ~$250 for the shasta.
    80-90% of the camping I do is in dry weather. The times it has rained we have all just hung out under the popup awning

    Gotcha. Yeah, there isn't a whole lot of usable room to hang out inside the annex since the ladder comes down right in the middle. We use found the best use for it is to give the dogs a place to sleep so they aren't shaking the vehicle around all night with you on top! :woot: And the wife likes to have a place to change clothes...

    so.. I'm on the fence of what to order.. I will MOST likely be doing a low bed rack.. between 2-4" rise. possibly even just a couple 2-4" bed bars. leave one on all the time for my dust/work lights, then add the other (tailgate side) for the RTT. this will make the tent lower.. and somewhat defeat the purpose of the Annex.. we could still sit under it, and stand up in the Annex to change and have a dry staging area which is nice.. but we wouldnt get the full potential from it I dont think. any input or recommendations are welcome..

    @Cascadia Tents?

    This was my thought/intention also. I'd like to keep the tent low profile.

    I've been trying to figure out how the rest of the setup will work. I am about to pull the trigger on this:

    http://www.pepboys.com/product/details/247225/00735

    to store all my gear in (wheeling and camping). but with a low pro rack.. I wouldn't be able to open the box.. unless I slid it towards the tailgate.. but then my fullsize spare would be sitting there.. sooo.. idk.

    I have one similar to that and I love it, I added a seal to make it weatherproof. The top is pretty much level with bed, in order to have access with a rack you would need some clearance

    Just so everyone is aware, CVT is out of Stock of the Anti Condensation mat, you will have to order at different time nor are they doing any rain checks on these. We will be paying full price once in stock, but they are cheap

    Really? When I ordered my tent, I wanted the mat and she said she was putting my name on a list for when they came in for 20% off since we ordered during the GB.. either way, not a big deal.
