Superintendent Safety and Security for the Yukon Territories aviation system. I Manage the Aircraft Rescue Fire fighters, Emergency preparedness and response program,Security Unit, Safety Management System and the Quality Assurance Unit. I am the Emergency Coordination Center Director, the only fun aspect of my job really, but requires bad things to happen.

With this large of portfolio it just means I attend meetings all day in body, while my mind dreams of adventure, tacoma mods etc...

    Small useful for me stuff.
I'm just a lowly wireman. It's not real exciting but it has paid the bills for the family for too many years to think about. There are days I do enjoy it but it's mostly a grind to pay for the things I do enjoy.

I think most get job they don't like, but people like to complain in general...8h is 8h - usually the less people want/can do your job, the more you get paid to actually do it

    Stop with the logic.

I'm way past the part of my life of liking my job. I don't hate my job but, it is still a J.O.B. I do however like what I can buy because of my job...food being the big one.

This I believe is the point I faulted to state. I like being a sparky but for the majority its a J.O.B. Then there are the times its a blast. As with any JOB it gets in the way of life and family.

To the younger gents and ladies out there. Try, and I do mean try, to not let the job over run your family life. I know we have to pay our way but when your kids are little do your best to enjoy them. It's been a hard pill to swallow as I spent to much time making a living rather than living it.

I would be making some calls to outside organizations (DoT for your state being one of them) and reporting that crap. That is not safe for you or anyone else to be driving and if the company (non profit) wont fix it thats on them to get fined for it.
