Posing as military or anything that your not is still posing; it doesn’t change anything just because it’s military.

I almost always wear GI camo pants for kicking around the house, running errands, etc. I have an old woodland camo lined field jacket I wear all the time in cold weather. As far as I am concerned these are the most comfortable, durable clothes made. And for hunting in the sagebrush areas around here the new digital camo is the most effective I have ever seen. I have tried many of the aftermarket civilian versions but they just don't stack up to the real GI gear. I DON"T wear any of the patches or insignia though, and don't pretend to be in the military.
I had a fella at the local gun club tell me I wasn't allowed to wear the new digital camo pants one day because they haven't been released on the surplus market yet, any one know if this is fact?

Hey welcome to America LAND OF THE FREE! Love the right to dress the way you want while you still have that right. It won't be long and we will all be wearing the slave jumpsuits given out by the NWO after the fall of the republic. I say lets ALL wear the military fatigues and scare the crap out of the corrupt sell outs we love to call POLITICIANS, make them realize WE put them there and WE THE PEOPLE can take them out of office. Vote libertarian.

i bought some old wooldland camos from eBay so I can wear it when I play airsoft. It had some patches and name tape on it. Is that offensive if I wear it during airsoft?

wearing military camo/uniforms for play/sport are one thing....but when u start trying to "make yourself military" but running around and saying u are should be an enforced crime just like impersonating a police officer

There is a difference between wearing uniform items and wearing the uniform. If you wanna wear it for airsoft/paintball, hunting then cool do it. But don't walk around town in full uniform with boots bloused and the whole deal.

Agreed. A lot of guys have camo pants or a jacket they wear around the house or whatever. You can wear parts of the uniform, especially the camo stuff. Its the guys wearing dress uniforms or full camo with name tapes and rank and unit insignia that is pushing it. Wearing full camo for games or hunting is fine, its the guys posing as military that are wrong. Ex military can wear what they want when they want.

I'm curious about the NG SSG at the Club in Uniform. Was that supposed to be his costume or was he just out clubbing in uniform? Either way he's wrong and as an NCO should know better.

So what do you think about people misinterpreting camo as a uniform? 'Fess up, or just roll with it?

Last year I was thanked by an airline attendant for serving my country. I was carrying a Multicam backpack (a cheap Ebay knock off, to boot). No other service-related itema.

    I said you're welcome.

The kicker is, at the time I was a reservist, but not wearing a uniform. I didn't feel I had actually done anything to earn her thanks (hadn't really started my payback committment yet).

Im a cop in nyc and see this fucking bullshit all year long. The worst time is fleet week in nyc, these MotherFuckers dress up then hit the bars and clubs drinking for free and hooking up with girls on the back of the Men and women that payed for there uniforms with there lives. I was in the USAF and my partners was USN between the 2 of us we can spot a fake and if there is any reason to lock these cocksuckers up we find it. Nothing in the world pisses me off more than this I think the act of misrepresenting your self as anyone in the military should be at the very least a Class A misdemenor.
