I would suggest dropping the pan to see if there's metal inside.

I honestly think you need someone else to drive your truck to feel it. I know I am way more sensitive to things like this but even I know when I am blowing something up too big in my mind. Sometimes you just need to weigh the good against the bad, your tranny is shifting fine but engages a bit forcefully, that is kinda normal on a vehicle with a long driveline that may or may not have slop in a u-joint or the differential. Also rolling a bit when in park is normal, the parking pawl is not directly related in anyway other than general location to the the rest of the running gear in the transmission. I think your transmission is fine. Your parking pawl may be a bit worn but I doubt it is a problem. Sounds that originate in the drive train can be deceiving because it is all connected and can make it sound like something that it isn't (had that problem a lot).

Dad drove it, he could feel it rocking just a little too much in park. And i mean you could stand outside the truck and tell it has a hard engagement. The rear end feels likes its try to jump off the ground( at times). Dad felt the same.

Since we did have everything apart, we thought the kickdown cable (think that is the name???) wasn't adjusted properly, so we tried adjusting it either way, didn't make a difference.

The kick down cable adjustment will just make it kick down a gear a bit earlier or later when you romp on the peddle. I would take the driveshaft off of the differential with it on the ground and try to turn the pinion by hand to check it for play, then afterward check the driveshaft for u-joint play. I know my diff has a lot of play but I am not going to fix it because I intend to change the gears out within the year. Just make sure you have the parking brake set when you check the differential play.

Ok only bad thing... My parking break is froze. Guess we will have to fix it when we replace the axle seals, then check for play. Never ending project!

Good luck, I guess you could check for play with just the wheels on the ground but you want to make sure they cannot move to rule out any extra movement. Just be careful and chock your wheels.

Yep, drove fine for almost a year before it completely went. Mine would also jump, not axle wrap, it was similar, but id already be stopped. It can't hurt to drop the pan and clean the filter, something that should be done anyway if you haven't.

Hopefully it's nothing too major. I hate to see parts fail especially on my truck but that's normal wear and tear over time.

Yesterday I bought a orbital polisher and some Meguiar's polish and wax, polished the entire body and finished waxing it today. Imperial Jade Micah really pops in the sunlight.

Also installed new clutch and brake pedal covers.

Well worth it. It just takes a lot of time to tape all the wires with little room you have.

It's amazing when a nice ass 2nd gen with 35s not locker, has a tough time with an obstacle. And you just crawl up it with my locker engaged. Extremely helpful!

Ever year about the dyslexic who lived in Claremont, California? He never got home cuz Claremont is right next door to Montclair.
