Hood Swap? 2016 Magnetic Gray Sport...

and would prefer NOT to have the hood scoop? I am getting the limited but really want the hood scoop. Would love to swap hoods with someone.

I was reading through the MGM thread and saw two other guys who did this a while back. What would complete my limited would be the scoop.

 

Someone will but I'd re-title this "Hood Swap? I want MGM Sport/Scoop" b/c there are a lot of people that don't like that thing.

yep I have a thread on the topic in the marketplace too.

 

If they offered the leather in a better color I would get the limited and do the same thing

 

and if I could get everything the limited offers in the sport, I would get the sport and would turn it into a limited

 

Lol what are you missing? Just the leather? Black leather would be sofa king sexy in this truck. That hickory on the other hand for me leaves a lot to be desired. Especially on the door panels. But with the tech package all I'm really missing is the leather, home link and JBL (which i chose not to get) I think all else is the same?

 

i want it all !! figure it may be easier to find the hood with the scoop. Also, you get 18 inch wheels on the limited, moon roof which I have now and like, etc

 

I forgot the wheels. Mine are only 17s but very similar. Moonroof however I will get. What vehicle do you have it in currently? Just the 3rd gen?

 

the vehicle i have the moon roof in now is an explorer sport trac. What people dont realize is how great it is to crack that roof just a little with the rear window open....the cross ventilation is amazing and without all of that wind noise.

Have the 3rd gen limited on order. Should be here in a few weeks.

 

If only they made the rear window motorized on the 3rd gen like the tundra

 

Have you been able to test drive one yet? They are so much quieter and smoother than the 2nd gen, and I'm coming from a 14

 

agree 100%. That is my second complaint with the Tacoma next to the lack of power seats. Rear power window is needed. My sport trac has a rear power window that slides up and down with the ability to also have it partially open. Unreal all of the options I had in the truck when I bought it in Oct of 2002.

 

No not yet but I may on Saturday. the dealer sent me a photo of one that came in but it isnt a limited. I may just drive it to see what the motor feels like.

 

Definitely do it. Make sure you test it out with and without ect mode on too. Makes a world of difference. Very quiet on the highway with the cabin sealed too.
