I highly recommend calling in and talking to them. They are good folks who both have a lot going on! Sometimes messages get crossed. :)

What tent you order? They may have only been out of the size for the tent I put in for

Was gonna wait until this weekend to order but went ahead and got the Mt. Shasta. Planning to head up there from the bay area and pick 10/16 and find a spot to camp in the vicinity for the night. Any recommendation?

    Great choice to visit!

Have you been to Bend before?

I posted in the Oregon camping thread but I'm mobile and will need to find it later.

Check out Sparks Lake campground (I believe it's also called soda creek campground). Smaller area accessible to our trucks and it's just at the base of Mt. Bachelor, South Sister and Broken top.

Hmm.. I'm pretty sure the Shasta and bachelor mats are the same size, right? Wonder why they told us they were on back order?

Only difference should be the enclosed annex.

Never have. This gives me a reason to. I mountain bike, was gonna check out some of the trails up there but my riding partner can't get the day off. Gonna drive up on friday morning, install the tent, find campground and explore the area on saturday and drive back. I'll check out your suggestions. thank you! I might leave Sunday morning if i can get someone to ride up with me. Gives me more time to explore Oregon. We'll see.
I assume the install shouldn't be difficult. Hopefully I'll make it up before dark to install. I assume basic tools is all i need to put together. Has anyone lift and mounted the tent by themselves? Is that even possible or will need 2 people to mount onto roof? thx.

Has anyone looked at mounting a Mt. Hood on their truck?

It should come with all the hardware and tools you need. Just had a bit of help lifting it onto the bed rack and that was about it. Did the rest myself within an hour or so while BSing.

Check out Phil's Trail on Google. If you're into biking it'll be your dream come true.

Also go see Smith Rock (35 minute drive NE to Terrabonne). You won't regret it.

@moodywizard I ordered my Mt. Shasta on Monday and received it today (Redondo Beach). I didn't even ask about combined shipping. The delivery guy was a bit of a jerk and would not bring the box into my garage to let me cut it open before signing for it. I signed for it with all sorts of caveats. Fortunately, no shipping damage to the tent!

You may want to give Goose Gear a call to see if they will match the 20% off CVT family discount going on through Sunday. I wish I had checked more closely for SoCal dealers. They say they are a stocking dealer. You will probably have to pay tax, but save more on shipping. I am going to call tomorrow to see if they will do the anti-condensation mat.

Not sure how to say this, but I NEED your order numbers and which product you purchased. This is to track the group buy. Please get this to me ASAP if you have not provided it yet! Thanks!

Getting down to the final few days of the 20% sale. TW members get to order until Monday 10/5!

Anyone getting an @allpro Pack Pack? They are 20% off until Monday as well!
