So my RTT was rubbing and removing the powder coating from my Relentless cross bars, I decided a modification was in order. I contacted LAG Tactical, who made me 4 kydex sleeves to fit over my bars. A little two sided tape holds them in place. Works perfect!

These were a prototype, which I think passed inspection quite nicely.

If you want a set, I can talk to the Custom manager and see if he wouldn't mind doing a run of them. PM me if y'all are interested.

Chances are they would be pretty cheap.

Just thinking that same thing...if I can get 10 people interested in a set (of four I presume) I think we can get a production run pushed through fairly quickly.

If anyone else is interested, shoot me a PM to let me know. I'm working on price right now. Also, if you could let me know the diameter of your bars, that helps.

Count is at 4 people right now!

Already sent you a PM. I have the same bars (relentless) but I think they're 1.75" if I remember correctly.

Love the protector idea. I was sitting up on my rack watching the Super Blood Moon the night before and noticed that my RTT was really doing a number on my powder coating.

So I'm going to get a tent with the CVT group buy going on. Looking for some input. I'd like it to fit my girlfriend and I, but it will see more use with just me. I'm 6'2" for reference.

Looking at the Mt. Bailey, Mt. Cayley, and the Mt. Bachelor.

Tent will be pretty low on a bed rack. You guys with this tent, is the width of the cayley and bailey an issue? The bachelor has an extra 8" of width.

I'd get the shasta, but that's a little more $$$ than I want to spend.

What is your guys' opinion for me?

I always think its nice to have the extra room if you have any gear inside, or you go somewhere cold and need bigger/heavier blankets and bags.

Edit: I've heard that the Cayley size is good for just 2 people, the bachelor is 2 people plus some gear.

Does the bachelor come with the updated rain fly now? The one that wraps around the doors more?

@northwesttaco did you ever run your tent off the back of your shell? I think that is how I'll run mine now.
