I'm on a few other forums and this is actually pretty tame. It's all good.

Just giving you a hard time, OP (no pun intended). You've come back in and dished it back some. I respect that.

I guess I could have missed the fine print. Ill look when I get home .. oh wait .. I still have the PDF on my work laptop ...be right back..

Here are the specs right out of the 15 brochure page 24. No fine print or asterisks or such .. sorry that the columns are ugly.

    TOWING,24 MAXIMUM (lb.) (SAE J2807 towing rating-compliant)
Class-IV towing receiver hitch, transmission and supplemental oil coolers (transmission
cooler not available on manual transmission models), 130-amp alternator, heavy-duty
    battery, 7-pin connector with converter, and Trailer-Sway Control (TSC)27 (V6 only) – P – P P
    Tongue load (4-cylinder/V6) 350 350 350 350/– –/–
    Tongue load (V6 with V6 Tow Package) – 650 – 640 630
    Towing capacity (4-cylinder/V6) 3500 3500 3400 3500 3500
Towing capacity (V6 with V6 Tow Package) – 6500 – 6400 6300 <- Nope .. well I suppose one could, I wouldnt feel safe. Those peanut brake pads and rotors trying to stop about 11k lbs coming down a hill on the NC/TN boarder. 236hp to pull 11k over ....full side trucks not properly equipped struggle to get over some of those hills (Cummins 6.7 3.73 then Hemi 3.92 best options I had to handle the job) ... Naaa no way ..if one did choose to do so, Im sure the truck wouldnt last long.

But .. if anyone does try, Id love to see pics !

I read through the 400+ posts because I had nothing better to do and wanted to be entertained. The answer to your question is yes.

    what a bullshit example. bullshit

maybe 5 people will ever have that much load, and encounter that specific type of hill, in a taco.

the rest of us won't have any issue

and if you ARE towing that much on a regular basis, and you plan for hills of that type,
you are a knob if the trailer doesn't have it's own braking system

In this state you need trailer brakes for trailers over 1500 lbs, so...yeah...

It helps cut down on the "death by hillbillies" factor and keeps the gulags busy.

Yes. Trailers are required to have electric brakes at a certain weight. Varies by state.

And if this a bullshit example ... prove me wrong. I'll concede if I have to. In fact I challenge anyone on the board to show me a pick of a taco pulling a camper or anything else in the 6500 lb range.

And the fact that you don't know that brakes are required indicates commenting without experience or knowledge.

That's one of the problems with these forums.
Educate yourself. Humor me. Do a search for towing guides. They come out every year and are compiled by trailer life.

this is why forums, and YOU, suck donkey balls. You assume I 'don't know the laws' LOL for fucks sake
this is a forum where I am not going to post every fucking detail about every last little thing

FACT my ass...you don't know a single FACT about what I know...just like I don't now a damn thing about you

law or not people strap insane loads on vehicles all day long, you gonna stand there
and ticket every person LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL ? Is everyone going to follow the law ? look around you
over 50% the people driving around are breaking laws all day (lets include rolling stop signs...that is law breaking too)

but you go an extrapolate "Oh well you don't know the law educate yourself..'

for fucks sake man stop jerking yerself off

Final comments .. don't want to steal the thread.

    More rhetoric and nonsense.

I never mentioned anyone breaking laws.
I related to capability and capacity of the truck.

I'll file these comments away in the dead letter saving face file.
Change the loop back so you can at least reach the rest on the real world.
    Have a great day !!
