What was the issue with your Colorado? Sorry if you already said, I might have missed it.

btw, we lease '13 Cadillac CTS AWD. I could say a lot of good things about it as far as drive ability....but I am thankful it's a lease and that the lease is up, because the brakes suck! I have had some many issues with the brakes that it's becoming funny, and all with less the 30k on the car.

Never had issues with me Toyotas under 30k. After 3 years my Toyotas still feel new. The Caddy seems 6 years old, not 3 years old.

This reminds me of how girls act when they get dumped by a guy. "I'm never dating again! Guys are jerks! Blah blah.. boo hoo.." 2 weeks later she is dating the same type of guy haha.

Cars change a LOT in 25 years. So does the people working for those companies. But to each their own. The fact that GM outsells every other automaker in the world shows this is more of a blip than a routine thing. Same with Toyota. You can go online and find Toyota horror stories everywhere. Frame issues. Involuntary acceleration issues. Many other recalls. But overall, most experiences are good, not bad.

Yea, I'd like to know that too. When I check out a Canyon a couple months ago, I immediately lost interested when I saw the sticker price started with a 4! lol

That diesel review looks good. From a 4x4 it looks rather reasonable to expect 33mpg. If the price of diesel falls compared to gasoline, it will be a serious hot ticket item. I do love the tow capabilities without needing a giant truck.

I think there has been a pent up market for that very thing. A truck that can tow 5,000 lbs without feeling like it's being worked too much. And like you mentioned, the size. Full size trucks are just ridiculously big for some.

I do think the dash looks incredibly cheap on the Colorado/Canyon. Hard brittle plastics like you would see on a 1999 Hyundai. I could get over that if the quality was better elsewhere. btw, this mpg reading is from the duramax.

Thanks for the summary. Come to think of it, my Caddy had a water leak problem with the sun-roof at first. lol

Not yet... trying to get the GM Supplier discount on it...

I did the excercise with the same configuration but on the V6 and it was 36.7K plus tax/tag/title So for the diesel it sould be around 40.4K plus tax/tag/title - This is almost the same price (40.6K) that I was getting with the Tacoma TRD Off-Road DCSB with the equipment I wanted (Inferno/Black/JBL/Tow/etc)....

If I had to buy one of the them GMC looks far better, after a couple of Vettes I have no love got GM service here. Too backed up. If it were my main ride , I would have been majorly pissed. 2 techs took 45 min to find a TPMS problem.....finally a third tech came out wiggle the valve stem and said "you don't have TPMS sensors in the wheels..." That and an $865 oil pan gasket replacement, $1000 Harmonic Balancer sent me running to the MX5 for my fun car. So when it came time to look at the Canyon, I liked it well enough but It's not a Tacoma. VERY nice truck though

Colorado may as well be an El Camino. It looks like a Malibu with a bed.

Ohhhhh yeah... I am buying the truck since my daily driver goes to my daughter... and we thought about getting the new Miata as the first choice (since we have the X5 for hauling people and stuff...)... but at the end, I just need something that is more versatile... but that new Miata... man!

They've been discounting the Silverados and Sierras so much that why buy a Canyon or Colorado when you can go full size for just about the same price?
I've see a huge influx of Silverado's here in Massachusetts over the past 3 or 4 months.. $45k Silverado's selling for $35K while the huge 2015 clearance was going on. I love my Tacoma, but for towing reasons, my next truck will be a full size GM or Ford.
