There may already be a root beer in the bottom of the cooler. I thought I saw a sarsaparilla in there last week.

    Welcome to the group.

    Evening all:
    Sue!
That's a lot of rain, stay safe!

As for the guy I knew, I don't think he really has family; mom and dad gone, and I don't think any brothers or sisters. The guy that told me about it thinks that cousins are there at the place. He had a nice Mach 1 mustang, probably was somewhat well off, and I would assume that it's grab time!
There again, all accountable money will be taxed @ 15% in PA, and if an auctioneer is brought in probably another 25% gone of proceeds from the sale. If the house is sold, and the money divied up, that's a 20% capital gains tax.
They sure know how to bleed people.

Must have missed that post! Welcome!!!!
Root beer is fine here also. :)
Congrats on 23 yrs. of being sober.

    OH! CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Found a universal clock for the 66 on e-bay for only $1,100. o_O
Last new one I bought was $20; talk about inflation.
I thought some of this stuff was out of hand awhile back, now it seems like its getting way way out of hand.

Honda. I had a no-name discount generator that never ran right and finally went up in smoke, just out of warranty of course. I decided that the second time I was just going to do it right. I also thought about the Generac whole house models but the cost was ~3x what I invested, plus I would have had to increase my propane storage capacity at the house. The Honda runs on gas. It doesn't run the clothes dryer or oven but it does do everything else including the well pump. So we pretty much have a normal existence when the power goes out.

Welcome aboard! No need to wait 10 days. We take all ages anyway.
Mmmm, sasparilla. Or how about some ginger beer? It's like root beer or birch beer.

THX Dave. I will be looking at Hondas which is my first choice for a mobile generator.

Susan try to stay dry this weekend. The weather people are saying 12+ inches of rain down your way.

Steady heavy drizzle today with rain at times. So far we have had 2.02 inches of rain the last 2 days but today is not finished.

Told you that you needed a boat. Lived through three floods, that is why I live where I do now. Sue I was in Las Vegas when it flooded in 1983 or 1984 can't remember for sure when. Random memory access is fragmented.

Pretty sure it was '84 and we lived on Sunrise mountain and didn't need to worry about no rain  beach front property

Thanks, I lived down in the flood plain and only got close to home when I left my car and waded home. 674 Wind River Drive. Small house but the rent was cheap for Vegas.

a LOT of roads washed out that day  Nellis blvd took a lot of damage. Almost didn't get home that afternoon. Sister was visiting and we were at the mall. Saw the clouds and beat feet home. Couldn't go up the one road due to flooding, but managed to get up the other road. 6830 Soldella Dr

Lots of rain here so far. Not 23 inches! But steady wet since yesterday. They're calling for another wet one today.

I lived in an apartment building in 1972 when Hurricane Agnes came through my area. We were close enough to the river that the first floor of the building flooded. Fortunately we were on the second floor. I spent the summer in Wilkes Barre running a Ditch Witch for an outfit that was putting in trailers for flooded out residents there. That whole town got flooded out. There was a cemetery on a curve in the river; the water pushed through the curve and under the cemetery. Caskets, bodies, you name it, all came up and out. Months later the trees in that area were still covered in silk from the casket linings.

Hurricane Agnes brought water into my parents back yard from a creek about 1/3rd a mile away.

Stay dry and warm today Susan. I am off in the rain to an Eagle Scout project that I wish was cancelled. I am hoping it still will be cancelled for today.
    :fingerscrossed:
