    Hi TW,

Although I cannot afford to buy one right I still needed to go test one out and see how it stacked up to my 2nd generation.

The outside: The truck looked awesome in person, way better than the photos. I did not care for the none chrome grill, I thought it just looked strange. I really liked the look of the sport with the chrome grill.

The inside: The interior was nice and redesigned a major update over the 2nd gen. The seats were conformable and stylish. I personally did not like the emergency break being a hand break. This isn't Tokyo Drift... Besides that the touch screen head unit seemed brighter and more vibrant. I loved having the screen on the speedometer.

The drive: To me the truck felt like a full sized truck but drove like a smaller mid-sized one. It was kind of hard to see over the hood scoop it seems higher. Steering was tight and I was able to zip and weave around other cars. Like may others said the get up was kind of a let down. If I didn't know any different I would have assumed it was the same old 4.0 in there. However I engaged the ECT button and there was a significant difference in the get up. The cab was super quite throughout all of this. I was kind of disappointed by this because I love hearing the engine roar when I gas it. (Nothing an aftermarket exhaust couldn't fix.)

All in all the truck was pretty cool and I defiantly plan on getting one in the future. I think Toyota crushed it on some parts and totally missed other aspects on it. For everything that was carried over it is kind of disheartening to see the price jump.

Thank you for reading my review!

Is ECT present on all of the 2016 V6 Tacos?

I saw a an SR5 tonight for the first time and think the front end is still not great. The rest of the truck in nice. I think the front has some wierd angles and styling. It's looked weird to me since the reveal, but a lot of people think it's better in person. It's not terrible, but I certainly don't love it. Maybe the TRD's with a different grille will look better.

I felt the same way about the 2 I drove yesterday. Smoother ride, more quiet, and truck seems bigger.
The throttle control is less than desirable. It feels like a Prius in ECO mode. Won't get out of its own way unless you hold it to the floor, then it still has delay. It would take a little getting used to cutting out in traffic.

Honestly my biggest criticism of the truck was how all of the steering controls for volume and calling were changed and moved around.
