I guess we live in a time where it's perfectly fine to be open about your finances.
I don't want to be "that guy" but I'm gonna assume govt money? Anyone can join the military at a young age.
Not saying that in a derogatory way, just pointing it out.

But wait....We don't need no stinking ads!!! We have no trucks here in South Central PA yet!!!

No sir. I'm in the reserves. Just trying to do my part to serve the country. We don't make very much.

I've been working since 14, saving money and making what I think are good choices.

Even if I was active duty how do you consider that Government money? That's their money. They earned it

Actually you are misinformed regarding the armed forces. The US military today is experiencing difficulty in recruiting young people. Here's a article from 2013 that may assist in explaining why:

Getting into the military is getting tougher

    http://money.cnn.com/2013/05/15/news/economy/military-recruiting/

    From the article:

"The Pentagon estimates that only one in four of today's youth are fit for military service. More than 20% of high-school students fail to graduate. Obesity and other medical conditions disqualify about 35% of candidates. Prior drug and alcohol involvement disqualify another 19%, and criminal records disqualify 5%."

Exactly. People just don't understand that they can't let just anyone in the military

That's my school. You don't graduate early. You don't get to graduate. You get a GED or equivalent.

Just a tip, put whatever you can down on the Tacoma and make minimum payments for 2 years. Housing lenders want to see minimum payments for at least 2 years because that's what makes them the most money. We will be paying it off after 2 years is up. We already have the full amount in savings
