I'm not a fan of the 2016... Or the direction toyota seems to be taking in general but, to each their own. The 2016 tacoma is not what I'm looking for in a truck but if it's what others are looking for then great. Things tend to ebb and flow. It's honestly too early to tell if the third gen is going to turn out to be a turd or not, only time will tell. With the second gen the truck got better with time so I'm sure the third gen will be the same way.

By and large though, I think this far the third gen isn't the truck the 1st or 2nd gen taco was. Less torque, more complicated engine, more complicated truck overall.

I always thought it was just a handful of annoying, hateful trolls that thread crapped every active thread. Id say the majority of posters in the 3rd gen forum actually like the truck. As stated several times before, i think this truck looks better (in every way) than any previous generations.

We're here, just don't really care about the truck as much any more. Overpriced and under-delivered. I think it looks great on the road, but it needs more torque, better efficiency, more options at a better price.

Hell after tax, I'm looking at like $38,000 for a vehicle without leather? HA! That's not happening. I'd consider a Tundra, but I'd rather stack cash and see how many more miles I can get out of my Nissan. If we were talking about a $30,000 truck after all said and done, I'd probably be driving one already. If the Tundra/4runner get a redesign, maybe they're it.

I was excited about the truck, now I'm just disappointed. No reason to rush into a costly mistake.

For everyone else who can easily afford these things and like their truck.....that's all that matters. For me making low 100s with no debt, I just can't justify the cost. Toyota made a truck for rich folks.

umm. if your making the "low 100'K's" then you are the rich folks...? Yep I overpaid for my Taco but my choice and my money and a 15 but kind of drooling a bit over the 16's upgraded interior/ not a fan of a new engine though so holding mine till we see reports with mileage.

I honestly loved the trd sport at first, then I found out toyota put drums on it and wont offer the double cab with the long bed and a manual transmission so I guess im a hater now. I just cant see trading in a vehicle with 4 wheel disc for one with drums on it. Especially when it says "sport" on it.

I was never a hater but I'm still not impressed by the 'new' Tacoma. I was really hoping Toyota would take a serious step into the modern truck market.

Take a picture of just about any vehicle from that angle with a slight fish eye effect and it will look like shit...

Sorry I've been busy. There are a lot of vehicles that I don't like and will never purchase, and there are a lot of enthusiast forums for those vehicles that need to be regularly informed and reminded of that fact.
