I'll guess: That black bumper cover looks like a crash damage replacement part that hasn't been painted yet.

I'm all about the contrast look, but the way the bumper cover matches up to the grill and the fenders does NOT allow it to be unpainted and still look like a finished vehicle. Obviously my opinion only, each to their own and all that.

Wouldn't that look be standard for base models? I don't think Toyota is breaking new ground with this basic styling.

Have the front bumper painted and that's a great bargain for 23k

The way this 2nd gen unpainted bumper matches up with the fenders and grill is fine (at least much better). You don't end up with weird discontinuities. It just doesn't work on the 2016 the same way.

This thread has settled it for me, TRD OR in White is definitely the way to go when buying a Gen 3 Taco.

That black bumper is hideous. Someone at Toyota needs their ass kicked.

That looks great! Why does this SR have a painted bumper and the one above has a black one?

Edit : One above has Utility package

I get it, the new black bumper sucks balls and someone at Toyota needs to be burned at the stake.

Let's get back on topic and keep posting up those awesome white '16s!!

I think the 2016's look stunning in white, except the fugly front access cab. I almost (repeat almost) regret getting the 2015 in white. Now if they had just kept the sand beige interior I would have been sold. Still I am happy with mine.
Here it is, a work in progress, one month old.
