I haven't torn down the engine to see it.So I can't tell you really. I'm just going to do a full trade. I talked to yoda Jim and yoda yard. Yoda yard gave me the best price but I have to make sure I get the right ECU/ECM.

The ecu and the harnesses are different between years... If you need a 04 harness or ecu or throttle body I have all that stuff

    Shipping would kill the deal.

I was going to pick up Cory's but then realized it was CA. Your In Cali too right? I don't want deal with the Cali emissions anymore. Plus I found a motor for under 1000 here. Thanks for the offer tho.

I called Yoda Yard in the beginning of the week to see if they had everything I needed for the swap and for a quote. I let them know I was coming this morning to pick everything up. This morning I rented a UHaul to take the motor to yoda yard and do a swap of parts. They didn't have anything ready plus they didn't have the ECU I needed. So I lost a day of OT and out the cost of the truck. Just poor customer service.

I did run over to Yoda Jims and we did walk his yard looking for parts because he wasn't expecting for me to come so soon. But I did call him the same time as I called yoda yard. So he knew what I was there for. He had an 01 4runner motor, ECU and wiring harness. I just don't want to chance it with it being an 01 and @steezemcqueen told me to stay away from 01-02 4runner wiring.

Now I guess my only option is to try and find a full donor truck and not try and part it together. This is just going to take time and I cant rush it. Everything happens for a reason.

As of now I'm not looking anymore until I save up a good amount of cash for the purchase. Once I'm ready i'll mention to keep an eye out. Thanks to all.

Yeah, I've been to yoda yard too. Seemed kinda jenky and didn't have what I needed either. It is the biggest toyota place in Colo I think. Damn sorry to hear. What about ebay or even look across the nation's salvage yards. They may have something out of state that could get shipped out to you.

So I was checking out an auction today to give me an idea what I might be needing to pick one up. Holy hell I guess I'll be down for a while. No biggie at least I can still get around but Barb doesn't like the 330 alarm.

Don't look at double cabs, they bring a very inflated price due to the value of the whole truck. A re-builder will buy that and fix it, possibly state swap it to clean up the salvage title.

I have been watching those for the cab, to make mine a 4door. It takes a lot of body damage to bring it down to the extra cab price.

Ok. There is an extra cab I've been watching too. It's here in commerce city but not on the books for sale yet. I'll keep in mind to stay away from DC.

I have been calling all over town trying to get a tundra axle. Found a few. I say that in the hopes that some of these yards will have things you need.

I got my tundra axle housing from yoda Jims. 250.00. He quoted me 150 per axle shaft. But I have truck parts he will buy from me so I'm sure I'll get them cheaper. In time @InSainFab is going to get the truss done for me.

Nope I'm still designing it with cardboard. But it's put on hold until the truck is up and running. I will post pics when I get it all designed. I'm relocating the fill plug like Jason did but it's going to look different from his. I believe Relentless made his and to date it hasn't failed him.

    More parts came in today.

Oh yeah just ordered a motor today and just waiting for a payment, shipping confirmation. That's Montana for ya. The motor has 117,00 on it and the compression is 180 on all six cylinders. Full wiring harness and pretty complete. He didn't have an ECU. So I'm going to have to find an 03 ECU.

If your truck is a DD, you will hate those mounts. I had those same mounts. Rattled my fillings loose.
I modified the MM with Marlin's trick and did the same mod to the trans mount. Not a vibe or issue. Works great. The bolt has a Teflon washer which you can see here. Left a small amount of space between it and the mount so it's not 100% tight.
Doing so allows the mount to work as it should yet this mod gives it a solid mount effect of performance.

    Hope this helps you out.
