The hood line is probably just more noticeable on the white ones. On my 2015, the hood is much closer to the grille though. Mine is white, and there is a slight difference in the shade between the metal and the plastic painted parts. I would think it probably has something to do with different primers for the different materials. You have to be looking at it in the right light, and at the right angle to notice. Again, probably something that is more noticeable on white trucks than anything else.

Your poll is FU. If the answer is "no and I won't run it", then there is no other choice to run it as the state only issues one plate.

I've never run a front license plate here in Wisconsin (where it's required), and have never been bothered for it. Even in my first car, a Mitsubishi eclipse, I got pulled over a lot, and the officers never mentioned it missing. On my 4runner, I do not run a license either, and have never been pulled over.

Sounds like a good aftermarket opportunity. Slim fit license plate bracket. Preferably not made out of cheap plastic that will break.

I will be thankful for that bracket personally. Driving in NYC I've gotten backed into many times by idiots parallel parking. I'd rather that take the beating than my bumper.

Front plate is required here in NY. I've always been a by the rules guy myself. My luck I would get pulled over for it. I live close to a correctional facility and there are troopers everywhere. I've only been pulled over once in my life and the guy claimed I "Failed to signal lane change," so yeah I'll keep it on. Douche Bags here.

    Stock and loving it
I've only been pulled over once and it was front front side window tinting... a 25 dollar ticket if you get it removed.
