Probably went a little over kill on this stuff. But whatever, I had it, why not use it.

Also ran power for amp. Going to be putting it under the seat.

Tomorrow is CCF maybe a little vinyl. Not sure how this is gonna go yet...

Excellent build, first post is organized well, very helpful. Enjoyed all the pics. I like the light strip attached to the door of your shell, that's pretty nice. I may borrow that. :D And nice to see the sound deadner getting installed. That's in my future too. Subd!

You truck has come a long way man. Everything you've done has been in good taste. I like your style and am interested to hear how the sound deadening turns out. That's on my list of things to do. I've only put the deadening on the back bulkhead of my access can but think the rest of the cab needs it. It's so dang loud inside my access cab.

Well my phone shit the bed so I lost a ton of pictures of the progress this weekend... :frusty:

Only have one that my buddy took on his cell with the floor in and CCF on the rear panel.

    IMG_0695.jpg

Getting everything back together took a ton of time and really fought me the whole way. Couple of take home points that I learned for those interested...

    - Test fit a bunch. Its a lot of work, but I spent a lot of time trimming to make everything work. Its REALLY snug now. I used (1/4" CCF for the floor and roof and 1/8" for rear and doors)

    - I couldn't get MLV in the headliner. It was way heavy, and was worried it wouldn't hold. I probably could have made it work, and maybe I will in the future depending on results I get from just the CCF.

    - I saw people using velcro to hold the material in place, but I used 3M Aluminum tape from Lowes shown above. It held the MLV and CCF in vertical applications no problem, and is great for the seams of MLV.

Clarion 1410 Amp is in and as soon as I finish the access doors tonight I am going to do some subjective audio/road noise tests!

Ill take some pictures tonight if my new phone is in...

Good thanks! Glad you like them. If you need anything else made let me know and I also updated the flag size (seemed a little square).

Love the results of the deanening. Also very happy with the clarion and JBL combo. It's like riding in a spaceship. All the doors are really solid. All most all of the remaining road noise heard from inside the cab is from the rear window or firewall area.

Did a few small things this am...

    Radiator support bushings:

    Tailgate mod:

The bushings were still in good shape. Preventative maintenance mostly.

Tailgate hose clamp is on the wrong side. Needs to be on the pass side to be effective as a theft deterrent.

@ckeene9 Can you elaborate why you recommended the XJ shackles over ATO stock shackles and the D29XL. I'm pricing out revamping my rear and was just curious since I will be adding HCB swingout/spare and already run heavy with cap, tent and gear on trips. Sounds like you have been through this before...
