just got back from picking up the truck. they went ahead and threw the spacer away because I asked them to last night. came home and took all the other spacers off

Ric, feel free to dig through the trash at the garage if you'd like to see

I'm sure when something fails on your truck leaving it disabled in the middle of a road, getting pics so you can have proof to bash the company is the last thing on your mind. What happened to him is more than enough proof for him, and no one is forcing you to believe it.

If i was interested in spacers, i'd have no problem with buying a set of spidertrax. My buddy Timicha has repeatedly jumped his truck with them on and never had any sort of an issue with his.

I understand where you are coming from, I just think its a little unfair to demand pics from someone in that situation. For me I always get pics of anything car related for insurance purposes, use in court, etc.

I personally wont run any wheel spacers. Same reason I wont buy used tires if I am using them on the highway. I just think adding a questionable component to the biggest safety feature of the truck is something I do not want to do. Plus I am studying for my rigid body rotation motion dynamics exam in two hours haha

    Exactly.

I would have to disagree. Not everyone has a digital camera, or even a camera phone. When shit hits the fan, its not everybody's first inclination to pick up a camera and start taking some pictures. If you choose not to believe the guy, don't believe him. Its not like the world is coming to an end because of it.

Personally, I don't have any reason to not believe the OP about having his lugs shear on the wheel spacers, and I'm pretty sure most people would believe him. It sure as hell would not be the first time I've seen wheel spacers fail. I will say that every time I have seen them fail, it was due to improperly torqued wheels, or wheels that had simply had the lugs back off. Now whether or not the manufacture has a problem with their QC is a different story. If you go back and thoroughly read this thread, the OP not once bashes the manufacture of the wheel spacers...

My apologies for this thread blowing up into bullshit. I had no digital camera with me, and iPhones don't have a camera with a flash. So bash me all you want for not having a camera, doesn't mean my eyes didn't see what they saw. If I was interested in being a sue happy person, I would have gone home, grabbed a camera, and gone back up to the garage to take pictures. But I wasn't hurt, the truck wasn't damaged and I saw no need in making an insurance claim. Not once in this thread did I bash All Pro at all, as stated earlier, I chalked it up to "sometimes somethings happen." Will I ever run spacers on my truck again? Probably not. Not from Spidertrax, All Pro or any other manufacturer.

    Thanks Rich..

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
ditto. getting pics while broken down in the highway would have been my last thought as well. now if i had actually purchased them and they failed...i would have kept the evidence. since this is not he case, i wouldnt expect it. and like SS said, ur words carry great weight when explaining what happened and what u did

Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
before i ask, let me say that i am in no way demanding or rushing...but if possible, it would be cool to see some pictures of the three non-broken ones (once you take them off of course), to see what kind of condition they are in and if there is any visible dammage to them. as in, is there any abnormal wear, or are the threads on the spacer studs messed up, causing them to loosen even though they were torqued right, etc...
