Tacoporn. I think the blacked out grille would look good on this.

Is the longbed wheelbase the same as shortbed on the 3rd gen? It looks the same to me, just a longer bed on the lb.

Thank you! This was a very informative post for someone who know's nothing about lifts and wants the most bang for your buck set up without sacrificing quality. I plan on upgrading to bigger tires and some light off-roading.

Does your 2016 lifted sit up taller than your lifted 2012? I had a 2016 pull up next to me in Huntington Beach and I could swear it was a taller ride height than my 2012 which has a 3 inch Icon lift and 285's. Suspension looked stock so I was shocked to think Toyota finally got things right. I've always thought the 2nd gen Tacomas had too low of a ride height from the factory. Considering trading mine in for a 2016 4wd DCSB OR.

They do sit higher, they have about an inch higher stance than the previous year.

    2015 8.1" running ground clearance

    2016 9.4" running ground clearance

Oh it definitely sits higher. I'm running an icon lift and like @Letsgoplaces said, it sits about an inch higher, though it feels like more. In my opinion, the tacoma is finally the perfect truck. Perfect blend of everything.
