    For me it's about covering more of the tire because of negative offset on my wheels, they stick out further. It will also allow me to run front flaps when going up to 265/70/17 ko2's without rubbing with the oversized ones. See how the stock flaps don't cover the whole tire now

    these are way flexible than the stock ones..

    a lot of times many of us throw the stock ones away when we upgrade to bigger tires lol

    For me it's because I rub badly with the stock ones. My assumption is these won't have that issue. Plus, I suspect these are less prone to being ripped off by rocks.
