Huh. I don't know why it would be lower on your screen or zip.

22 mpg on a 200 mile trip at 75 on a flat highway in my 2wd DCSB Sport. I do not expect much better than this after I get a couple of thousand miles on the vehicle.

People are dreaming if they believe they are going to get the EPA 24 mpg rating.

Right now (with 4x4 turned off) I'm averaging 18 on almost 100% city with it obviously not even close to broken in (around 150 miles). I'm fully expecting to average around 20mpg around town once it's broken in.

Now obviously an AC weighs a lot less than a DC so I would guess that probably nets me something extra in the MPG department (or maybe not lol).

My guess is that it is a regional build site that pulled numbers for the 15s or something when the intern made it. Weird, though I know the 19/24 is legit.

800 miles on the truck. 23 mpg with stock tires and a 3 inch lift. 90% highway.

That's sounds right for all city driving with a more aggressive tire.

That is pretty fantastically shitty. Are you on stock tires? Was there any significant wind? Use your instantaneous consumption meter and see if you can get it to read higher than 20. Should be easy to get above 20 on the highway.

I'll be interested to see what I get on some extended freeway driving (I don't freeway much). I would certainly guess around 25-26 at around 65-70, and broken in.

I've been watching both the consumption meter and the ECO app on the head-unit. Pretty regularly over 20, but then it wants to just hang around 15 on the highway. This screenshot was my around town driving.

I cleared all caches on my web browser and then went to www.toyota.com, but it was the same result. I then entered a new mexico zip and still the same.. I'm in upstate NY.

16* takes you to the disclosure list. Item#16 on that list says that the stated number is an EPA estimate and actual mileage will vary.

I wonder why there aren't any postings on fuelly.com? They've been on the streets for long enough.

Considering the way these trucks look and drive, the mpg is easily the most disappointing aspect of the gen 3, IMHO.

Well it depends on who's MPG you're going by. I'm certainly not disappointed with what I'm getting so far. lol

I think the mpg's tie with the bubba gump front bumper. 16mpgs is shit, but Thomas is getting 23 so that's pretty good.

There really should be a moratorium on these threads until people have about 10 full tanks of gas through their trucks.

They always turn into a circle jerk and the moment one person puts up some number (usually based on some crazy short amount of driving that no sane person would consider a statistical representation of anything) that seems low people automatically take that as the final verdict on '16 taco mpg.

And if you give a fuck about your mpg, drive like it matters. If you don't then just drive like most people and don't complain.

I've never had a vehicle where my lifetime average wasn't better than EPA and I fully expect that to be the case once I get my Taco in about 2 weeks.

17/20 is the TRD OR and 17/21 is the TRD Sport ratings for the 4x4 with Manual Trans.
