Stoked to square up my snorkel install. Just in time for coastal flooding :rain::rain::rain:

The other day I packed some tools and headed to @JLink 's house for a hand with the install.

To be honest after cutting for a high clearance rear bumper with no fucks given, cutting the front fender for a snorkel had my nerves going.

Again this snorkel was a gift from my Fiance' :woot:
And big thanx to JLink for the help

That day I got the body of the snorkel on but couldn't get the plumbing squared up under the hood with the supplied pipe. The next day I stopped at an exhaust shop, they gave me a scrap piece of pipe I cut and cleaned up then finished the install. With some persuasion everything went right back together.

I took this pic earlier today up the street, we avoided a hurricane but our coast is still getting pounded right now by big surf and high winds along with dangers of coastal flooding. My build now gives me a good sense of security.

Looks good buddy! Glad you got the plumbing finished up.

Now you need to extend all the breathers.. Trans, t case, engine, etc

    Thanx everyone!!

Today I fixed my awning. At the end of the summer while setup on the beach a gust of wind flipped the awning upside down up over the truck. Ended up breaking two rivets on the back track that conceals the legs and bent the horizontal bar that the canvas attaches to, the whole setup was out of commission. I contacted ARB who was very helpful, only problems being the bars were on back order and took a month to get. At $11 for the complete 2 piece extension bar with fittings on both ends I ordered two to have an extra for back up. Within 10 minutes I put 2 rivets back in the support backer track and swapped the bar, nice to have the awning fully functioning again. Next few days I'll be messing around with some awning lights.

So what'd ya have in mind for lighting? I'm eager to see it so I can swipe some more ideas lol

I stick in my red LED's the other day but haven't been able to test them yet as I emptied out all my bed storage stuff and wiring to get it all painted and sealed before another winter :sadviolin:

For my awning light mod I can't see myself having everything wired to be turned on/off with a switch, at least not for now. Instead I plan on setting up the light in the awning with quick connects on the end of the led strand. When needed I'll have an extension wire to go from the 12v outlet in the bed to the quick connect. Simple, easy, and still be able to remove the awning if need be. I tapped threw my cap for my reverse basket lights and sealed it back up, don't want to open that back up as of now.
