If heated seats are not for men then we should also throw out heated cab, air conditioning, and any other modern amenities? Seriously? Heated seats would end a deal? When it's -30 heated seats are nice.

    http://www.edmunds.com/chevrolet/co...olorado-air-dam-ruins-the-off-road-party.html

    - Several recalls including wiring harness relocation and front caliper replacement.
    - 18.4 mpg combined for about 20k miles.
    - Front airdam removal to allow decent offroading must be a pain, or one would think they would remove it instead of trying to offroad with it attached.
    - 18 mpg towing a 3000lb car/flatbed (which is easy compared to an unaerodynamic travel trailer of the same weight).

    Kinda meh overall.

Wow, another thread with guys bitch slapping each other with their phantom massive internet penises.

Grow up. A truck doesn't make you a man. A man makes himself a man. A guy can drive a freaking smart car but if he's in the Seals he's still more of a man than anyone on these threads.

Everytime I see a smart car I laugh. Buy a motorcycle or a 2 seater sportscar. Or a miata....anything but a smart car. If you have ever sat in one it's like a third world car. I wouldn't be caught dead in one. Sorry, gotta draw the line somewhere. If there is a Navy seal driving one I wouldn't laugh in his face.....but I would definitely laugh at him later. Don't ask...don't tell. Which is cool....I have no problem with it, but any respectable person can find something with decent gas milage that isn't a go cart on wheels.

Even a moped is more respectable. I would rock a moped before a smart car anyday

Why do the GM twins and the frontier all have 4 wheel disc brakes but the tacoma is stuck with drums and no one seems to care? All you here is "drums work" "the tacoma still stops better". But in all reality it would still be an upgrade to have rear discs and I dont think anyone would be wanting the drums back. Its honestly killing be that all my vehicles have had 4 wheel discs from 86-2014. Now im supposed to go backwards in technology if I want a tacoma? The one and only reason toyota left drums on it was to save money.

I don't know where you have been but there about been about 1,000 comment, give or take a few thousand, posts about the lack of rear drums. Point being the "WTF is there no rear disc brakes on the Tacoma, I'm not buying one because that's fucking stupid," crowd is well represented.

Most of my vehicles, all of which were new except one, came with rear drums. I didn't die driving any of those vehicles nor did I notice any decrease in the effectiveness of my brakes over my 4 wheel disc work trucks. Actually, my Ram 2500 with rear discs was by far the worst vehicle I have ever had for pedal feel and brake firmness. I just upgraded to yellow stuff EBC pads on that truck just because of that. If you are unhappy with the Tacoma's brakes, I suggest you do the same. The difference in far better front pads is incredible.

No one knows why Tacoma did anything that they've done on the Tacoma, but yes financial reasons likely contributed to the decision. A lot of mechanical items on the 2016 are carried over from the 2015, as again has been discussed many thousands of times on here.

The Toyota Tacoma is like the allstar player on a professional sports team that doesn't really try that hard. He's the guy with all the potential to be so much more. He stays healthy (reliability), he has great off road abilities (insane athletics) and everyone that has played with him can vouch for all the abilities (the 'Yota fan club).

But he is also the same star player that cuts corners on his own development (not keeping up with the demands of today) and doesn't work as hard as the competition (competitors always coming out with better capabilities and newer technology/features for the same cost).

So we take him on our team, but do so reluctantly knowing he could be more than just a star. He could be hall of fame worthy by going that extra mile.

Just saying. I would rather be taken out on a moped by a F 250 then left brain dead when hit in the smartcar. And the moped modified will still get 75 mpg. Just not a great winter commuter. What is this thread about again? Oh that's right it was about the go pro mount

I shouldn't have said don't ask don't tell. I won't delete it because it was a mistake and I admit it. Not trying to offend anyone. A longtime friend of mine with 3 kids recently announced he is gay. I think no different of him. My confessional.....dear father forgive me for I have sinned.

Gee, and I thought the Tacoma was a truck that kept selling so well Toyota didn't dare to do anything to wake a sleeping giant. Like, man these guys are buying everyone we make, why change a thing. And quite literally, we did.

I'm implying Magic johnson put up triple double numbers and was on par with jordan. But Jordan has the votes, rings, carissma. Magic won't let aids beat him. Tacoma won't let drum brakes

Let's keep talking about how dominant someone was 20 years ago please though. Kind of like 1st gen owners talk about their trucks. It totally applies to the league/market right now... or wait.

I get it. This truck isn't a Toyota version of the Jeep Wrangler with a box and V8 engine. To think Toyota was going to go there was daydreaming anyways. Most Tacoma's are sold to people who never go offroad and the lay of the land, so to speak both marketing, competition, and regulation wise, favored what we ended up with in the 3rd gen Tacoma. I'd relate the Tacoma to a newb player drafted late in the first round. If you don't give it the tools with some extra time and effort it won't amount to anything. With the right training, IE mods, that are readily available though it can be a real gem.

Lol im going to wait a year and see what changes. Last car I bought was a 14 forester, 1st year of redesign. I only buy sticks and the exact same model in auto came with a sun roof and stick didn't. Then the next years model offered stick with the sun roof. So im hoping maybe next year the tacoma will come with DCLB and stick plus drum brakes, then ill be a buyer.
