Canadian Price..??..Anyone..!!

Yeah some guys will be pissed I sure, they were already upset that Toyota was not offering the Long Box in the some models and the LEDs would be the icing on the cake, not to mention the Oil, Transmission, and Power Steering fluid coolers being standard up here and being an option down there.

But they do get a wider selection of choices.

 

Given that you can't even get an OR in DC in Canada, I'd say Americans have very little to complain about.

Well, given that you can't get a DCLB in Limited trim in the US, it gives us Canucks something to crow about! Well, until we see the price.. I have a jar of vaseline on hand.. when I go in to order a DCLB Limited. I now know it will fit in the garage.

what do the new OR AC cost..?

 

Pricing hasn't been released yet but I was told today that tentative release date is Oct 13th. I will keep following this.

 

Can't wait for the release date..... Ordered mine August 12. My salesperson doesn't think the prices will increase much, if at all. I hope that's right! Mine is currently being stored on Annacis Island in the Vancouver area, just waiting for Toyota Canada to get their crap together and actually release it! With my luck it will be released while I'm on a trip to Regina

 

That's a little optimistic of your salesperson. Toyota didn't adjust the price yet for the 75 cent dollar. So it'll likely go up significantly. The only question is how much of the increase Toyota will markup for themselves.

 

I guess it depends on what "not much" is. I'm kind of surprised to see everyone on TW thinking $2000 markup is an huge increase. I'm hoping for nothing more than $2000, but to me that's not much for a brand new truck compared to a 10 year old model. I am prepared to pay up to that increase with cash. Hopefully I can also do some bargaining with the dealership for not needing financing

 

Yeah, if Toyota factors in the $2K markup and 75 cent dollar we could easily see a $4-$5K price increase. No way of really knowing anything though until Toyota comes down with pricing. My point was that your salesperson is a typical salesperson. No salesperson is going to tell you something is going up by X dollars when they don't know, they just slough off the question with a "meh, it won't go up that much".

Not needing financing works against you. I know what you are thinking with cash in hand the dealer is more motivated but cash from TFC or your pocket is the exact same to the dealer, the only difference is that the dealer gets a bit of kickback on the credit and nothing else from you if you pay cash. You can always finance a small amount, let's say 10K, and then pay it off after the deal is done. That way Your dealer gets his TFC kickback, which isn't a huge amount of money to be honest, and maybe he'll let you share in that money.

 

If Toyota factors in the current exchange rate, then we technically should be seeing the truck around $55,000... And then it wouldn't sell.

 

The 2016 tundras price didn't change much at all, can't see it being much of an increase. That said I guess it wasn't a new model though either.

Are you able to say what Dealer Cost is on Accessories?

My Dealer is offering me dealer cost on any accessories but not knowing what Dealer cost is I have no way of knowing wether that is just a Sales pitch or not...

I am in BC.

 

My dealer said the same thing regarding accessories for me. What I was going to do is get the prices (once I get my truck) then just random call a dealer. If the spread between the two is big enough then I'll have to assume my dealer is being truthful with me. Like you, I have no other way of knowing unless someone posts the info. I doubt ToyotaSalesPro will post that info, but you never know?

The Local Dealer is offering me $2000.00 off of MSRP plus Dealer Cost on any accessories.

8102, mind if I PM you as well? I'm a cash/no trade buyer waiting like everybody else. When I spoke to my local dealer recently he told me straight up MSRP plus a $500 paperwork fee. After hearing that I don't feel bad looking at other dealers.
