Yep, low, distanced and even heat with a blow torch and small even amounts of pressure from a hammer handle. I was happy with how it came out

Found a new good wheelin spot! Just outside Duvall, id rate it as "more difficult to most difficult". Buddy in HS messed up his pathfinder pretty good back there so it's possible in a stock truck but with sliders.
It used to be completely open and then they shut it down since all of us high school kids would go wheeling there after school.. In 2 years people have made it into a gate keeper. No keep out signs or anything so guess where I'm going tomorrow :D I went to check it out after I worked out so didn't have time to go in.

Just outside duvall eh? Also I'll be backing out of the run next weekend. If my RTT shows up at Dakotas, I'll be fabing mounts/bars and getting ready for hunting camp the weekend of the 17th.

@dakotasyota I just put my order for a shasta in. Asked about group shipping, they said they needed 4/pallet to get a reduced rate. So my options are just have it shipped to you since I'm not sure if I can be around when it drops, and grab it on my way out to republic. Or I may have Wednesday off to pickup local.

take High Rock RD. off hwy 203 just before Duvall (from the Monroe side), go to the end and make a left on Lake Fontal RD, then veer left but can't find the name of that road. Follow the dirt road back

Hi new member here. Alex from Kirkland WA I used to wheel out on that road for years. I went up there with my son last spring and they had the gate locked up there.

Gate looks like it's been open for a while, branches growing all through it. Oh yeah welcome to TW

Passed another group of people going back there and they said they don't know if it's legal but a lot of people do it. Took the turn to go back to the lake and spray painted on a concrete block was "protected by camera" or something like that.. Obvious a lot of people have gone back there still so who knows

Played around a bit, didn't stay to long. Main road isn't bad but the side areas are really rutted and muddy, hit my sliders a few times and skids once or twice
    image.jpg
Ledge was just about even with the hood driving up to it

    And up on it..

That's the spot. I had a buddy that had an idea to go into that mud pit with a 2500 Cummins years ago. It took a silverado, my 07 Cummins and a locked up Toyota buggy to pull him out. I'm glad someone decided to pop the gate open. That's an awesome light wheeling spot if your driving thru. I'll have to head out there next weekend if I get time off.

Yeah just be careful on the gate keeper going in.. I couldn't get around the boulders without putting my rear tire up on the rock and easily would have crushed the bottom of my bed sides coming down off of it. High clearance bumper FTW :D and going out is a little slick. But yeah it isn't to hard I was taking most of the harder lines and hit a few times

You heading over east for opening day?

Looks like old cherry valley road, there are some more difficult trails in that area I've been through, I haven't been up there in years

Apperently there used to be some nasty trails going up to the Tolt area up there but they are closed now. Anyone have any updates on those?

I'd love to, but either way my wife is going to probably deliver our third son this week so I'm kind of tied dow for the next couple of months. If anything in the future comes up I'm interested in participating. My truck is pretty much stock right now other then all terrain tires. I'm getting the OME lift either next month or close to Dec to replace my sagging rear springs. I've wheeled extensively for the last 11 years so I'm comfortable on the trails.
