OK guys and gals, I've had my truck for 13 months. I am ready to get a mild lift installed. Been reading and reading and reading. There is so much info here that it makes my head want to spin. This gen is nothing like my 1st gen. In that one I installed some SAWS, new leaf packs and had a nice day. For this one...not going to be so simple. In the interest of learning from others' installs I have ordered and have sitting in my garage the following parts:

    1) 2.0 SAWS with the sway bar relocation bracket.
    2) Icon 3 leaf 1.5" AAL
    3) Icon rear shocks
    4) Camburg UCAs (to be delivered today)

I plan to lift to about 2" in the front but that will not be the final height as I also have a US Offroad winch mount and a warn M8000s sitting right next to the other parts, so I'm sure it will settle well under 2" with the extra 120lbs on the nose. Sliders are in the process of being built by a buddy of mine so that will add a little more weight too.

I'm trying to do this right from the start, but just when I think I have everything I find something more. Case in point, the front end vibs and clunking some of you have experienced. This seems to be hit and miss and, from what I've read, even the guys that don't get it right away get it EVENTUALLY. With that said, I'm thinking about getting the bushing from ECGS to replace the needle bearing in the carrier. I don't know if I need to, but I do not want to get all of this stuff installed and then have to deal with THAT. So there will go another couple hundred bucks (if I get the whole kit with tools). Then there is the TSB that is being discussed but nobody knows for sure what it is (stock replacement part) vs something better). FML. lol.

I love this truck, but I am really missing my 02 Dcab right now. Am I overlooking anything that has been covered in the other 100000000000 posts here?

    THANK YOU ALL!

I don't know if you'll need it or not @ 1.5" in the rear, but I just had a 2" AAL installed, and drove it for a couple of days before I put the carrier bearing spacer in ($12 part). I definitely noticed a shudder in the rear when taking off from a stop before I put it in. Now that it's in, It is almost completely gone. To the point that I would not have noticed it at all if I just put it in at the same time the AAL was installed. The only reason I notice the faintest hint of it, is because now I'm looking for it.

I haven't noticed the shutter on takeoff from the rear being any worse than stock with my 1.5" progressive AAL, without the carrier bearing spacer.

Yeah, it might just be 2", and above.
