752 FICO and Toyata gave me 2% interest for 72 months with 3k down. May refi through my CU at a later date but I'm fine for now. He said I'd have a higher score if I had more Credit Cards. I don't feel the need to have more than 2 CCs and pay my balance monthly. Wtf..FICO scores are a bunch of shit.

The finance manager told us anything above 720 is pretty much the same.

Guess I'm special. Always wondered why my mom made me wear that helmet. Have multiple reports reflecting the 852 number.

I'm probably going to go shorter than 60 but If I can make more than the interest rate on a $30K chunk of cash I'd like that. I haven't had a car payment in 15 years. Spent my money on other things since then.

PENFED is offering 1.5%.....I decided for that kind of rate I will finance for three years. They approved the loan and send me a check for the amount I chose to finance. I will take this into F&I and they have one shot to get within a couple 10ths.....I won't ask for a beat as they are selling me the truck for $500 over invoice (including their Doc fee) unless they play shenanigans when it comes in. I won;t pay any more. I already have an invoice deal at another dealer on a 4x4 Limited for $36400 plus TAx title.

I really don't want a 4x4 but that price is hard to pass up if my dealer doesn't deliver.

Can't say if you're special or not but, if your actual FICO score is 852 it's because you made a specifuc request for a loan such as mortgage or auto loan and not a basic rating.

Completely agree and hope to be at your financial level sooner than later! Looking back, I probably could have gotten a better interest rate had I opted for a longer loan (and still paid it off in less than a year). All in all, I didn't accrue too much in interest.

Because the rate is different depending on the specific deal and I agree it sucks.

from this site. I guess they just shift it +50 for citi cards some reason. Sounds like a marketing thing by FICO. Anyway, good score.

Toyota beat what I had with PenFed. I was at 2.74% for 72 months and once they found out I was already financed they offered me more and a better rate. They went down to 2% and I managed to get the 100k extended warranty for free. I was like you they matched the rate from PenFed and I flat out told them no thank you. After a few more no's they dropped the rate and gave me the extended warranty.

Nice. I have PenFed approval for 1.99 @ 60Months (they list your rate and also 1.?% for 36-48). I was planning on giving the dealer a chance and was trying to come up with a list of things they could toss in besides the rate to make me budge since I know they make a ton of $ on the financing. Nice to see the kinds of things they will do. If you don't mind, which brand of extended warranty do they toss in? I'm already at invoice + TDA and intend to make the TDA go away the second I sit down with them. After that I'm thinking the price drops if they want me to use their financing - or maybe throw in ToyotaCare Plus for 5/75 - that'd likely be abetter value than an extended warranty from a different brand since it covers "Major Maintenance (30k, 45k, 60k, 75k)"

    Thoughts?

PFico. bankcard version. There are a bunch of different variants. Not all the up on this stuff since I don't actually use this crap very often. Should still be g2g. Still think Toyota should have to actually publish their rate tiers like every other bank and credit union out there. It just gives them yet another place to rape the consumer and play games at time of purchase.

Trying to avoid this kind of stuff- having to get multiple loans just to get a decent deal thats some crap right there. So Toyota just uses their financing arm to rape the customer who doesn't realize they negotiate on rates but only after you have already been financed and have the check in hand. Will avoid just out of spite.F-em
