His alignment is fine, I opened the PDF it is all in the green so he is fine. The cam tab was not his problem a horrible alignment from the dealer was...they just happened to have smashed his cam tab too.

Cam tab is fine. It was not crushed - lucky. Will take a photo of report & post tonight.

In this photo that you posted your cam tab is 100% bent flat crushed and the cam itself is sitting in a position that it should never be in. Not trying to be a pain in your ass but I want to make sure those guys are not lying to you. Look at this pic you posted, see how the cam is not between two little " walls " ? Those walls are called the cam tabs and if you look at the right side the little wall is gone and the whole cam has slid over to the right on top of where it used to be. The cam washer is supposed to sit between those two walls and then as the cam is turned because it is eccentric it adjusts the position of the bolt. See how there is a gap between the washer and the left wall ? With that tab missing your alignment will not last past the first good pothole that you hit because there is nothing to keep the cam bolt in place laterally.

It's possible that they loosened it so much that the cam bolt is on top of the tab, and its not actually flattened....Hard to tell with that image if there's a gap behind the cam bolt. We didn't get to see the other side of this one.

1 / 1,000,000 chance of that ...and cam tabs being squashed is very common...I hedge my bet on his cam tab being squashed under that bolt.

Apologies for not getting back on here. Everything is good. Washer was sitting on top of cam tab (they loosened it up that much), so tab is good - saw that when it was on the hoist & again after realignment. Super lucky there.

Thank-you all for your help - much appreciated. Have just been reading some threads here for my next project...
