Bears are jerks, lots of times on field days you would get back to your quad and it would be all torn apart.. They always tore off the seats and ate the foam.. sucked if they got at the air filter. Usually they got into the storage boxes too (don't put your lunch in there)..

CBC is reporting that the TPP agreement has been agreed to on these terms:

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-election-2015-tpp-agreement-atlanta-1.3254569

If anything the Dairy industry is even more protected. 3.25% of Cheese and 15% of milk can come from overseas or the USA. Everything else must come from national sources. Interesting read.

It sounds like Japan and some other TPP countries will be able to import any vehicle with more than 45% of it's components made in the TPP into the USA. I'm sure that things are slightly more complicated than that because the wording is slightly strange but who knows, maybe the chicken tax is done in the USA for TPP countries.

    Just read that headline

    Wasn't dairy at 10% before ?

Also interested to know how this effects the logging sector in BC

Honestly I don't know about what the dairy was at before. I know a few guys were panicking that this was going to cause the end of the quota system but it sounds like the Canadian dairy industry made out like bandits in this agreement.

I did notice that there was nothing said about Chickens and Eggs, which are both of quota production as well.

Thanks. I've been reading things in a tiny side pane on my screen. So the quota system is still safe in other words.

As I can best find out, the details will not be available for a while...

Lots of speculation and spin out there, it will be interesting to see what's real.

In a minority situation the prime minister must have the confidence of a majority of the elected members of parliament. The incumbent has the right to meet with the new parliament and try to win its support.

All newly elected MPs from various parties can combine to form a majority in the house.

Sometimes party leaders give assurances of support formally or less so that allows another party to govern.

Two or more parties can form a coalition government if they have a majority of seats in the house.

If a prime minister resigns the GG has a duty to appoint the leader of the party most likely to win majority support in the House of Commons.

I gleaned most of this from an article in today's Vancouver Sun by Andrew Heard who is a political science professor at SFU.

I am not seeing that the Govenor General has any descresion in this matter.

Ha, right you are, I missed that.

So, perhaps your question was more political than procedural?

I will take a stab... First off my long term prediction has been for a minority conservative outcome. If that is the case, it would seem unlikely that either the NDP or the Liberals would support them. How exactly that would play out is hard to guess.

My guess is that Harper would resign if he fails to secure a majority.

The recent history of coalition governments in England has been that it has been brutal for the junior partner.

So I am thinking a minority Conservative government for a few hours or days only. Then a Liberal minority govt that might have a hard time to survive long.

But... I am not taking bets of a monitory nature. Lol!
