Costco Auto Buying Service on a 3rd Gen?

Anybody do better than Costco yet? I've seen only a handful of folks get it near invoice.

 

Costco isnt even offering in most places. Just found out my company has a hook up with a buying service. They said typically they're around 100 over invoice, but heres the kicker, including freight and dealership fees. Waiting for the price back from the dealer. My best so far was 2400 under MSRP but has a $599 dealer fee that I will try and get reduced or eliminated. Considering I told them what I wanted and came to them, its not like they advertised me in. Or if I get lucky near the end of the month when my truck arrives. September 30 they were offering 1500 under invoice on any vehicle

 

That $1500 off invoice was just a "cover-all" specific dealership sale? Thats a good deal, but sounds like they would add some bogus fees. Anyways, please keep us updated.

 

Basically. End of month sales push. However even if you add the freight and dealer processing fee on top (since we know dealers love to quote prices without those) you would still be at invoice

Oh. I just e-mailed a local dealer who was the only one to entertain my e-mail request. We'll see how far he deals.

 

Was able to get an invoice offer, plus ttl and $299 doc fee. This was a dealer in NJ. Also had a invoice plus $500, plus $600 TDA, and TTL from a dealer in PA. Both were through True Car.

 

I just tried True Car. So far, all i got as MSRP. But I also got a few calls from dealers not part of the 3 listed.

What invoice for what config? Invoice pricing as per the pricing sticky thread?

The reason I am asking I got a dealer honor TrueCar price, but it's higher than invoice listed on the forum by $700. The dealer claims it is invoice... but can't trust them.

 

I could be TDA fee (ad fees). If so, then they pass that fee onto the buyer

 

Truecar lists some Regional Fees... maybe that's that?

 

OR DC SB A/T, prem/tech(no JBL) and tow. Pricing per sticky thread to the T! The one claimed invoice, but added in the TDA with the invoice.

 

The one tried the bait and switch. Dealt with internet sales until I went in, had to deal with normal sales. He Configured the truck and asked what price I was quoted. I said invoice, he said no way. I told him I was out of there, he said wait, talked to manager and they would honor the price. They tried making it back on the trade and I walked.

 

Could you have made the deal with invoice and sold ur car privately? Just wondering is thats an option for me

 

Yup. But its hard to tell if your particular dealer pays those TDA fees. IMO they are non negotiable.

Yeah, but I still owe on it, so it'll be a hassle at best.
