So I was camping this last weekend I didn't do any hard wheeling at all mainly just a lot of mudding start heading home and notice my alignment is slightly off get home clean off a bunch of mud and notice that on my driver side if I grab my cv shaft away from the tire closer to the transfer case (I think), I'm able to wiggle it up and down some buddies were saying it might be the transfer case bearing? There is quite a bit of play there I don't know if it's something I have to take to a shop or if I can do it myself, just looking for a little more knowledge of what I might be getting in to... I have a video of it moving but couldn't figure out how to post it on this. Help the yota out.. There is an attached picture

That's not the transfer case, it's the front differential. Some play on the left side is normal, too much, and you get a growl / vibration at high speeds that goes away when you engage 4wd. ECGS makes an upgrade repair bushing and tool if it really does need attention. That said, it won't cause any alignment issues. I'd wash away that mud, being careful to clean the inside of the wheels very well all the way around, and then inspect for any signs of movement at the lower control arm bolts / alignment cams. Hope this helps.

You're going to have a little movement, this is pretty normal, a better test for CV's is if theres any clicking or popping while turning (left or right)

Used to be a clunk when I'd turn hard left but not since I've got back from camping, now there is squeaking when I turn left

By squeaking, does it sound like a piece of wire wrapped around drive shaft maybe ??

Better still if you can get up some audio this almost always gets a good diagnosis...

I'm just trying to learn at this point haha so cv shaft (rod w/ two boots) goes into the front diff (big cylinder) and front diff goes into the transfer case?

Yeah, the tripod (or tulip, your choice) joint may have come apart in boot...

CV axle goes into front diff. =Right

Front diff goes into transfer case= Wrong, front driveshaft comes off T-case to front diff.
