    Do you mean where it connects to the antenna mount? If so like this:

    That blue wire is for the ground, which I connected to a brake line bracket that connects to the frame near the rear wheel:

    Thanks for the photos Paul. I don't see a gap in the grommet. I guess, I have to cut a hole for the connector and coax to pass through, correct?

    Well for optimum performance, 65%+ of your antenna should be above the roofline. The 4' antenna meets this and I know a 3' wouldnt.

    Yea my antenna is high but it makes finding my truck in a parking lot MUCH easier. Just look for the bright red antenna cap sticking up in midair! lol
