I know for a fact that the spare AT20 that came on my truck was was identical to the AT20's on the OEM rims. So speed/load rating of the spare is the same.

Well I also have a 15 sr5. Mines double cab though. I assume I would be in the same situation then. Unless they screw us Canadians up here (wouldn't be surprised) I wonder why they write temporary use only then? To sucker you into buying a new one? Lol

"Temporary use only" is related only to lack of TPMS sensor, requirement of one for regular use, and liability.

Changed my brake pads yesterday to the OEM 04465-04070 semi-metallic

The darn caliper pins were rusted on TIGHT, took me about 15 min to free both sides. After that it was easy.

I did make a rookie mistake and I forgot to apply the brakes after doing one side, so when I backed the pistons back on the other the brake fluid res. overflowed. Oops.

    Ahh, gotcha. That makes sense.

I'm surprised the spare doesn't have a TPMS. The spare on my '05 Tundra did. I remember the light used to come on when I left the spare at home for one reason or another.

Considering my own experience with the stock Dunflop AT20's, they should all be considered Temporary Use Only.

Haha thanks gents. So I'm assuming that means that the tpms is built into the tire? That's too bad, my 14 accord had them built into the hub! That's exactly why I was just hoping that I could use the spare so I don't waste any money on another shitty tire. Save my money for something better in the end.

So jealous that you can get truck tires for that price, let alone KO2's. Buddy of mine just got some KO2s for a Ford, damn near doubled the value of his truck. $1500 ish just for the rubber. Damn it Canada, c'mon!

I believe the TMPS on these trucks is built into the valve stem. Meaning, all you would have to do is swap the spare AT20 onto the OEM rim, retaining the OEM valve stem, and you would have your replacement tire with functioning TMPS. Then just find another tire to mount on the spare rim.

i know, i was going to go with the 265/70/17 for $205 a tire then i did some searching and came across 275/70/17 and they were $17 cheaper...i actually got lucky. i decided to wait the rest of the week to order them and im thankful i did.

i checked the price of the 275/70/17 on Wednesday last week and it was $199/tire.
my brother text thursday morning with a picture of the 275/70/17 with a price tag of $188/tire and a special deal....same cite and everything. i would have been one mad mofo if i ordered them that wednesday

    It's so annoying!

Almost worth driving down and paying the shop in the states to swap the tires for the drive back haha!
