So, after doing a second install, on Rick's truck over the weekend, I had the following thought. What would you think of adding a weatherproof plug to the door end of the harness, about where the wire loom ends. That way, all of the mirror wiring could be performed on a bench/table, the connector could be secured above or below the existing mirror connector, and if needed, in the future, the mirror could be removed from the door without having to open it all back up and fish wires through.

It's a good idea and something I have looked into as well. I tried a number of weatherproof connectors and the complication was running a connector through the boot was a nightmare. Not impossible but very time consuming and frustrating. I then thought maybe the wires to the mirror would have the connector and then the wires coming from the cab would be terminated but not in the connector and that option is a possible one but then the installer would need to clip the wires into the connector and I'm trying to keep the kit as simple as possible for everyone.

At the end of the day while I think it would be a nice feature, I also considered how often one might need to remove their mirrors and at that point realized the answer is most people will never need to remove them short of being in an accident and needing to replace the mirrors. Switching out the glass for whatever reason would not require the wires to be removed, only removing the entire mirror housing.

Thanks for the order! I'll get you on the list right now. I have some people on back order right now as I am waiting on a bunch of switches to come in. However most of the back orders will be cleared out this week and new orders could be filled either the end of this week or beginning of next.

I also noticed you are in surrey. That should only be about 2 days in transit for the shipping.

So James just curious if anybody else on chilly mornings has circles in the center of the mirrors in the A.M.? They go away when defrosted but just curious?

Haven't noticed any myself, maybe you could send a pic when it happens? This is only a guess but if it you had just a light frost or fog it could just be oil from fingerprints from when you installed them. I'd try windex on the mirrors and see if they go away.

If anyone else has seen this before then perhaps they could chime in?

When I opened them up upon delivery there were there as well. With tons of fingerprints on them. Cleaned them then and cleaned them after we were done. Maybe tomorrow it will happen again.

Sure see if you can snap a picture. I imagine from your description what you are saying is you had some frost but a couple of small circles where there was no frost present? If so I'm thinking it must be some residue on the mirror glass such as oil from fingerprints.

I know you said you cleaned them after install but might not hurt to give them one more wipe down if it occurs again.

I'll take pics tomorrow if it happens again. And again these are perfect circles right in the center of the mirrors.

I have circle marks on my truck window and windshield glass that appear in certain conditions , they look like suction cup marks probably from some stage of the manufacturing process

Given they are perfectly round and in the center of the mirror I think OZ is probably right that they are there from part of the manufacturing process. I'll pay a bit closer attention to see if I spot them on mine too on the next chilly morning.

Thought I'd give you a bump and let you know I've had to fire up the mirrors for the first couple of times this week. They work great! So pleased.
