I'd be happy to help, but I have no clue what I'm doing, haha.

I need to wire my LED cubes once they come in.

I'd be happy to help with suspension but I don't mess with electricity.

Straight from the texas dmv website..

Within 30 days of bringing the vehicle to Texas, you must obtain a vehicle inspection and visit your county tax assessor-collector to title and register the vehicle. The vehicle must pass inspection before it can be registered and titled. After having it inspected, take the following to your county tax office:

    • Proof of Inspection (Vehicle Inspection Report),
    • Proof of liability insurance meeting State of Texas minimum requirements,
    • The vehicle's odometer reading if it is less than 10 years old,
    • An original out-of-state title,
    • Proof of valid registration,
    • Proof of sales tax payment or current foreign/military ownership document,
    • Completed Form 130-U,

      130-U Application for Texas Title
    • The following fees:
      • Registration fee (base fee of $50.75 for passenger vehicles and light trucks),
      • Title application fee of $28 or $33, depending on the county,
      • State portion of the vehicle inspection fee ($7-$40), if the vehicle was inspected after March 1, 2015
      • 6.25% vehicle sales tax,
      • Local and county fees ($5-$20),
      • $1 Insurance verification fee
      • $1 Automation fee

It is not that big of a deal. I went through this process back in 2005 when I transferred a VA truck to TX.

I just did this a few weeks ago, get inspected, take inspection, insurance, bill of sale, and title to county tax office, they will charge you about 100 for plates plus whatever the sales tax is. Walked out with plates in about 20 mins.

So I've discovered that if I drop another $7500 into the motor of my truck I can hit the 700-800 horse power mark. Very tempting.

Just look at the build thread
Trade it in already. Dropping another 8 grand isn't gonna make it stop breaking down.

    Yes.
Does that $7500 come with a Dodge 2500 Turbo Diesel 4x4?

This. You will still be out of work while it is in the shop on it's bi-monthly trips. Take that money and build a welding trailer that will let you work no matter what truck is hooked up to it.

Probably gonna get a new truck next year, makes more sense tax wise. And yes, Race truck. Made the mistake of going to the diesel drag races in Ennis.

Save money. Invest in work truck. Use that to make more money. Buy race truck project to work on on the side while having a reliable work truck.
