might be a repost but I just had my parts guy call Toyota and they said that originally, Toyota was allowing the Special Edition TRD Wheels in black to be sold to the general public but they recently stopped doing that. THe only thing that can be purchased by anyone is the Bronze wheel...was quoted a price of $219 a wheel.

He claimed to have seen both the bronze and the black on his screen...that's why he called Toyota. He kept calling the Black version "special edition". I'll call him again to confirm. you may be right though.

I swear this is exactly what I was talking with the parts guy about and he said Toyota will not allow the sale of these in black. The part number for the black doesn't have a price anymore in the system so they had to call Toyota directly. That's where he was told "no dice", only if I owned an FJ with these wheels.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have the ability to photoshop the bronze onto a black double cab. I'd like to see how that looks.
