Right on. I was UBC class of 2012. BASc myself.
Yes yes. Have some trails to show us around in July? Meeting up with some locals while we're there would be awesome.

Side note: anyone want my 50" curved 10W spot beam light bar or prinsu custom mounts? Will let go for a reasonable price. Going a different route with lighting.

Got my truck back, all patched up. I drove it 1500km home yesterday and had my first highway experience with the supercharger. Fuel economy was between 10.2mpg (mostly freeway through mountains at ~120km/h) and 13.1mpg (2 lane highway at ~100km/h). I don't track my fuel economy much, but I think it's a 10% decrease or so. It was really nice to not have to rev the crap out of it to go up hills or pass. Feels like a stock truck again... probably because it's about the same power to weight as stock!

We also picked up Sarah's new FJ! It's a 2007 with an ARB bumper, remote start, a crappy spacer lift and some 285 AT's. There'll probably be a build thread coming up soon :)

I love Fj's and still have a soft spot for getting one!

How much was your supercharger with install?

I quite like her FJ. I pictured her in a 4runner before the FJ, but she had other plans that worked out quite nicely. The FJ is a great value too.

Supercharger was $6800 installed + tax. Then they charged me 2 hours of extra labour for dealing with all my aftermarket shit that was in the way. I got them to replace the serpentine belt while they were in there and my bill was $8100 out the door. (12% tax in BC)

I have no more mod money but I still like mods, so I ordered 2 toggle switches on Amazon and spent a whopping $2.75. I want to replace the pin switch under the hood and the other one is for bed lights.

Actually I got a pack of 4. There'll probably be somewhere else I can use a switch or two (maybe in a certain FJ?)

Nope, good ol' CAD. Would be about $5200+tax for supercharger or $6200 out the door in USD.

Sarah and I went out to some hot springs this weekend and did a little trail on the way back. There's a few significant river crossings, the last of which has always been too high for us to cross. We conquered it this time!

Unfortunately this morning I went outside and found a nice milky puddle under the truck. Upon further investigation there's a ton of watery diff oil pooled in the front skid plate. Not sure how it got out of there, but I'm talking about a whole diff capacity worth of oil. Fingers crossed the breather popped off the top and let a bunch of water in, then overflowed when it warmed up. Don't want to deal with it today so it gets left in the driveway as is for now.

Going across the Racing River (big one):
