Placement is everything! Got one on the rear, opposite corner as well (can kinda see it below). I mean, who wants to walk ALL the way around the truck to get to an opener :p

I don't understand why the bumpers don't come with that option.

    Nice work

Sort of a mod I guess. Completely changed the look of my truck for about $25 in supplies.

Great! I'll keep this in mind if/when I decide to do it to the set of rims I have sitting.

Yep, mine's same hardware setup. I put mine in the metal towards back of bed that houses the taillight tho, not thru composite bed part. Not that it matters that much.

I got stainless hardware as well. Actually, I drilled the holes a little small and after threading the machine screw through it seemed like that would be enough. The bed liner is much tougher than I expected but I put the washer and lock nut on anyways.

Looks like the factory Toyota accessory one. Look up Rocky Mounts, they have nicer and locking ones (more expensive tho) that go in bed rails.

I actually got it from a local bike shop. Was going to get the yakima made one with locking mechanism but it was 20$ more and i couldnt justify the price difference. This one holds up just fine and does what its intended to do.

That's pretty slick. Could it be done with an aluminum plate, or are those panel screws just not flush enough?
