Sad, Car and Driver gave the Tacoma 2nd place to the camyon.

Why is the Tacoma towing score so low? Which Tacoma did they test?

So your saying Car and Driver bases it's scores on the amount advertisers pay for pages? I won't argue with you but some of those comparison scores look correct to me.

Wow that's going to make Toyota and Twins more competitive I think.

    DAYUM, Tacoma got destroyed!

Gotta be honest, they're right on all accounts. The Tacoma is an overpriced under performing disappointment. Slightly more HP, same mpg if you drive like a 90yr old woman.

Can't wait to see the 60-0 stopping with those rear drums from 1967

I don't trust any magazine whose income depends on the Subject Matter they deal with. Call me cynical

Personally I have looked at Canyons and Colorados and "fit an finish" is not as good as Tacoma's. I thought the GM interior looked cheap Knobs were "crunchy" Very plasticy. The lack of a bed liner of any kind in the Colorado for the money is horrible... Tacoma wins the bed contest, aesthetics, weight, and hardiness. And how important is a bed in a pick up truck? huge...

Also exterior styling which is completely subjective and should not be in a comparo. Colorado looks like a car. Tacoma is beefier looking

I think Tacoma has the more useful feature set

    1. Plastic back of rear seats folded down for dry cargo loading.
    2. AC outlet in the bed which comes in handy for many things
    3. A full bed rail system not available on the GM
4.Composite bed both strong and light,

Do power seats replaced those amenities? I think not. I drove the Canyon and I just don't trust GM past the warranty period. I had two Vettes and GM service was nowhere near Toyota's here with their five lanes, Luncheonette, Car loaners, Resale value is huge (and why I can go from a 15 to a far better equipped 16 for $6000 out of pocket)

I agree, I'm a Toyota guy too!!! Looks like my 2006 tundra DC is staying put. I don't think I could go back to a smaller truck anyhow with a growing family.

I'm torn between a sr5 tundra 4x4 double cab for the same price has a new Tacoma. I can get a base sr5 4x4 DC for 35,500 get every thing except center console and it comes with steel wheels but can replace in a year that's with a 4.6 liter engine

I think I would go tundra, more room, proven 4.6 engine. You can find 2015 TRD wheels/tires on CL and still get the look. If I were in the market I would go your route.
