Do you have Alcan leafs on your truck?

Question for you guys that have Alcan leafs in the rear. I ordered new leafs with 1.5 lift over stock. (They ride great by the way) After installing them, right off the bat, I had over 3" of lift. Now, I knew that these would settle a bit & I called & asked about it and they said they "pre-load their springs" and they would settle, like maybe 1/2 inch or so. I put these on over 3 weeks ago & they are still up there at over 2".
Now, anyone out there with this similar situation? Just wondering because I'd like to get the front end level with the rear. How long should I wait till these settle? I have adjustable Bilstiens up front & I had adjusted them to the second slot after installing the leafs so I only have one more position to go, (about 3/4"). I've been told to put a bunch of weight back there & drive it like that for a couple of weeks to get it to settle more. Hope someone can help me with this.....

Right now it looks like a hot rod with the rear end way up there. Thanks guys!

 

Did you contact Alcan agian. They seemed like a reputable company. I called them and will be buying springs from them as soon as I have the money. I put AAL in mine for now and they settled maybe an inch. Also with your Alcans they are all custom built. The build them to always carry a certain load. (If you always have stuff in your bed) Did you tell them you haul more stuff than you do? That would affect the hieght.

 

Yea, they're good guys over there and seem to know what they're talking about. I talked to Jason. He was very specific about the weight back there & I did tell him I had a shell. I called Snug-Top and got the correct weight of my shell so I know that should be right. Then I told him how much it weighs. That's all he said he needed. Also, I do not carry tools or stuff like that all the time. So now, I measure it every few days & it seems to be leveling out a little bit, but I'm not sure how long it will take before it's done doing so. I haven't taken it off road yet, so I'm thinkin' it will probably settle more after that. I'm really happy the way it rides too.

 

I think my AAL's took over a month to fully settle. Can't wait to get my Alcan's though.
