I got the 3 step nfab ones (textured) for my DCLB and now wish I had gone with sliders mainly for the added door ding protection and a wider foot step area. I find the step to get into the truck is a bit narrow and wish it was the length of the cab

Be careful buying N Fab, mine are rusting, 8 months old, I never hit anything or damaged them but the manufacturer won't honor the warranty.

Thanks for the heads up. I heard other people make the same statement about that brand. I wonder how the Rhino brand is?

I've never purchased Rhino so I have no experience with them. Any scratches on the N Fab products and they deny any claims

I think maybe the best thing to do if you buy nerf bars is have them coated with LineX. I had this stuff sprayed in my 1998 Tacoma and it's pretty hard to scratch this stuff.

Can anyone that lives in snow/salt areas comment on which ones they've owned for several years without rust?

N Fab bars are powder coated and shouldn't rust. No need to LineX over good powder coating.
Problem is that N Fab products do rust.

If you go off-road at all, I'd get some sliders, but they don't offer much of a step. I have All-Pro's APEX... highly recommend!

Well that sux. I have the same ones that I just put on last weekend. I did sort of buy them for temp purpose until I get a handle on the rest of the stuff you guys are causing me to buy. I'll eventually get sliders but good to know this may happen.

for what it's worth i have the Nasta's. Every part is stainless including brackets and hardware. Mine are going on 10 years. no rust but just starting to pit. I can't complain about how well they've held up. i just did a quick search on them. does anyone know if they're still around ?

The N-fab seemed a pretty popular brand and I didn't see about them rusting until after I bought them. I'll have to keep a close eye on them.

The Westin nerf bars I had lasted 10 years and the new ones I put on my old truck were holding up well after 3 years.

My N Fab bars haven't been in Salt water and only the right side is rusting. Too bad the manufacturer doesn’t stand behind there products.
The first pair I purchased where Smittybilt Chinese made and they wouldn't line up to install them. I returned them and bought N Fab. N Fab won't talk to you if you purchased through a Ebay vendor.
