Greetings community! I'm a new member who purchased a new 2016 DLCB TRD Sport this week. So far I'm loving it! I noticed one thing and wanted to know if other 2016 owners noticed also.

I get a pretty hard and noticeable gas pedal vibration when accelerating through the 2,000 RPM mark and once I've reach cruising speed and happen to be in 3rd gear with the engine resting at 2,000 RPM. Otherwise, it's smooth. It almost feels as if it's coming from the engine, which runs pretty rough just at that 2,000 RPM spot.

I didn't notice it when test driving another 16' Sport. I'll have it checked but just wondering if other owners noticed the same on their '16s?

Modified to add vibration in floorbed/steering wheel.

No it's not, have you seen the thread where they have a truck labeled Sport on one bedside, Off road on the other!

To the topic - mine was a tad rough at first but after a few miles (still on my first tank of gas) things are definitely smoothing out and am noticing changes that seem to come and go but are not anything I'm worrying about. Just stomp down on the pedal when you feel a vibration and you won't notice it any more!! 2000 rpms seems to be the sweet spot for fuel economy with my M/T tho so I tend to cruise at that RPM a lot.

Could it have something to do with the Atkinson cycle kicking in? I'm just throwing that out there, I haven't got a clue. I've yet to drive a 3rd gen.

So the 2nd gens had the driveline vibration and the Gen 2.5/3 has a gas pedal vibration?

Installed my first dimple then removed it.
I haven't noticed any vibration, but I'll keep any 'eye','foot','nerve ending'... I'll see if it happens to mine also.

I notice a little vibration when the tranny shifts to low gear(or high gear). That is when you accelerate and the transmission is trying to conserve gas and shifts so you are doing low RPM. It gets better with time or the ECT button!!!!

And yes it may have something to do with switching from Atkinson to Otto(or vice versa).

The 2nd gen and 3rd gen trucks are throttle-by-wire, i.e. there's no direct linkage between the gas pedal and the engine. If you feel a vibration it would just be the floor area vibrating. My advice: test-drive another 2016 V6 on the lot and see if you get the same vibration. If so it's probably normal. That's how I dealt with the poor brake pedal feel on my TRD Off Road.

Exactly! There is a slight vibration which I think is more from the trans.
