I took a 2016 Access Cab for a ride yesterday. Nice truck. I like the 2015 better though.I called the dealer and put a credit card deposit on the 2015 V6 last night.

I got the chance to sit in a 2016 SR5 Prerunner on Tuesday. The inside is pretty nice overall, but IMO the dashboard doesn't flow together well and the seats felt uncomfortable. They do look better in person, but I still can't get over the front end having the air dam, fat bottom lip, and over-sized grille.

They look way better in person than in pics. I think most of us will warm up to the new body style once we all actually get to check them out up close.

How did the seating position feel? Sometimes I think I'm too tall for my 06. I can't ever see stop lights unless I lean forward and look up.

The position felt very similar to 2nd gen. My gripe was that the cushioning was a bit too firm and not plush like the TRD 2nd gen seats. Honestly was not a fan.

Drove one a few days ago too, didn't like the seats either. I actually found a manual, so i drove it. Transmission felt 'notchy' i think i liked my 15's better, clutch felt about the same. Oveall the truck felt slower, at least the throttle was less responsive...call me crazy but it almost felt turbo'd. Put your foot in and nothing, split second later it took off. Definitely looks better in person, still don't like the grill. I like the overhead console buttons, and my test drive had a sunroof which I've always missed in my Tacos. Meh, not worth the price of admission IMHO

I just got back from the dealership its for sure a nice truck. 2nd gen still has that timeless look and will grow old gracefully. If I had the cash I would not mind a 2016 though..

I was considering a 2016 and was trying to find one to test drive, but after weighing my options, I went with a 2015 and love it! This is my first truck and always wanted a Tacoma since I was a kid in high school. It all came down to price for me and couldn't justify the cost at this time but definitely no regrets getting a 2015.

I like the exterior look of the 2016 more than I like the interior. That dash looks cool in pictures and looking in from outside the truck.Once in the drivers seat it didn't feel right to me.
When I sat in the 2015,my first thought was "this is nice". I didn't feel that in the 2016.

I was in the same boat weighing out my options. I bought my 2015 Sport back in July. This is my 4th Tacoma. I believe you will still get a good deal when your ready to trade in your 15 for a 16.

I finally seen a 2016 at the Dealer today, I think it actually looks a little better in person than what I had seen in pictures or on the net.

I bought my 15 2 weeks ago. They had a 16 on the lot but i liked the 15 better. Not 100% sure why but I think it's the grill. Plus the 2nd gen has all the aftermarket support
