So I've been thinking.... Tacoma with a V8 option.

I would bet that the new Viper puts out less emissions than a 1990 M3, as well as much more power. Being able to do that is very good engineering, IMHO. :)

I would rather see a gas/electric Hybrid V6 Tacoma with 40MPG than another V8 Gas Hog. I would have gone for the I4 if it was availiable in the Double Cab. GM did it on their Big SUV's, I know Toyota can and probably will do it the question is when.

I cant believe you used the words "viper" and "good engineering" in the same sentence. first of all, better emissions is no big deal, we are talking 18 year difference in technology. secondly, of course the viper puts out more power, its engine is 3 times the size of the one i'm talking about.

i seriously think that is the meanest looking car ever made. it just looks like its pissed off and wants to eat your babies... i love that body style

wow. so this means you enjoy eating babies? weird:eek::rolleyes:. personally, i'd say that the closest thing to a pissed off looking taco would have to be mine with my front bumper- its got that "bring it" look to it, IMO.

Oh, and on topic.... i agree that I'd like to see a V6/hybrid powered tacoma- great fuel economy and still have no negative effects on towing or 'wheelin'! that would be bitchin'

I still think Toyota should offer a forced induction motor straight from the factory, possibly a supercharged inline 5 cylinder. Inline 5's usually have some nice low end grunt. Volvo and Audi had success with turbo and NA inline 5's for about the last 20 years, granted we're talking totally different types of vehicles here.

Of all the wants on this thread, this one would be the most likely one to happen. Consider that Toyota already has hybrid V6's in production now and those hybrids generally produce slightly increased hp numbers versus their strictly fuel burning counterparts.

Better chance of getting rocket boosters that are fueled by the souls of the deceased.

mmmm....souls. I'd probably eat the souls before the rocket boosters could get to them.

    Mmmm
    Thats pure sextacy!
My friends dad has a 2004 M3. I love that car! It handles like its on rails and it will definately plant you in the seat!

I must agree that 200hp in a I4 is more interesting than a viper engine... However that being said, MOST of the public would not agree with that statement.
I happened to like my little 1.6 liter with a hairdryer on it making 220ish to the wheels on my old Mercury Capri.

Someone get me off this topic before I buy another toy.

You want a Tacoma to have a V8 sooo badly....

Answer me this - Isn't the Tundra good enough for your needs?
