What are your impressions of the 2016 Tacoma?

 

wow, those small mods make a huge difference!

 

I'm loving it so far. It still kind of lacks power but once the ECT Power is turn on it gives it a good kick. Also feels like it lacks power because I been driving a Lexus GS450H the past two years and that thing has power on demand. The suspension is a bit soft for my liking and steering is kind of light also. This truck is the perfect size though. I traded in my 2nd gen Tacoma for a 2012 Tunda CrewMax RockWarrior and regretted it. It was way too big of a truck for daily driving and getting around town. Here's some photos of my previous rides.




Now back to the roots. Neeever getting rid of this one!

 

Thanks! Just kind of sucks I had to pay for some of the crap I took off. Just wanted the truck ASAP. Also got this one for a lot cheaper than the one I had reserved with the extras I wanted like the roof rack and tonneau cover.

 

If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about removing the b pillar vinyl off the rear doors. There doesn't seem to be a good place to get started. Fronts look straight forward starting on the inside of the door and working your way out. Was there any residue after removal or did you use any heat or just peel straight off?

heated it up then just picked it from the very top and started peeling. doesnt leave any residue with the right amount of head and patience.

 

Looks awesome! Did you use a hairdryer? I really don't understand the appeal of the hood vinyl. Looks custom for count Dracula

 

Thanks! No I have a heat gun. You can pick one up at harbor freight for like $10.

 

Dam. I would be scared to use my heat gun. It bubbles up paint quick like

 

ive done it to all my cars/trucks and motorcycles. have never had a problem with paint.

That hood decal was atrocious, they actually sell them off the lot like that? And removing that vinyl between the doors makes a huge difference!

 

LOL! It's an add on that costs $85. They're crazy. I got this truck for cheaper with these extras so that's why I bought it. Yeah it definitely makes the look way better.

 

Silly they put vinyl on the hood scoop, and it cost more.

 

im sure theres a select few that actually like it and will add it. smh.
