I kept a short plug interval until this happened in my Mazda (15k on plugs, NGK):

Manufacturing defects occur from time to time... if it ain't broke don't fix it.

So far i have added/done the following
1)Westin pro trax 4 stainless step bars $330 vs $890 for aluminum from dealer
2)Weatherteach digifit floor liners front and rear. Like the fit and they will catch everything. Back is one piece that covers trans tunnel as well.
3)Fiberglass window screen added behind front grill upper and lower. Just held on losely with nylon ties. Done on every car i have owned in last 40 years. Cost $5 and maybe 30 minutes work. Keep bugs and rocks out of radiator/ AC condensor /Trans cooler and NO it it didnt in any way ever affect cooling. I leave it loose so it can absorb impacts rather than letting the rocks punch through.
    4)Weathertech Bumper Hitch step
5)Switch to Pennzoil platinum synthetic 5w30.Cdn tire had 5 litre jugs on for $33 so bought 6. Will cover me for next 3 years or so.
6)Krown rustproofing on next day after i picked up the truck at the dealer
7)LRV Protecta 6964 bed mat 53X73 heavy weight. $90 vs $250 for toyota one. Strange thing is that toyota list the Short box version for $130 Cdn and the Long Box version for $250.. So for 1 foot more the price doubles???
    8)Magnefine in trans cooler line.
    9)Yokohama 245/70R17 Ice Guard IG51Vsnow tires
10)DTD replica 17X7.5 rims (for snows).
