I know this is sound advice. BUT, this is the truck that I drive every day. I just want to do it once and be done. That, and getting an extra alignment...

The way my truck sits now ,I'm pretty sure I can
    Get away with the spacers.

With the 5100's set at 1.75 and all of the air out of my Ride Rites, the front sits 1/8" higher than the rear.

My thinking is that the front is already lifted a couple of inches. So, I'm obviously not going to get 2 1/2" more there.

Then, if the leafs give me 2.75-3", I'm going to have a nose down rake.

I'm thinking, the 1/2" gained from the spacers will be fine lift wise.

I'm just wondering if the spacers have any other adverse effects?

I think you're gonna be over 3" with 886 and the 3/8" lift spacers

See? That's why I love this place. 1/4" it is then. Not having to change the bolts will be nice anyway. Thank you.

Any reason to go aluminum over poly spacers?

Did I hear once that the size of the spacer equals twice the lift? Like 1/4"spacer = 1/2" lift?

Or am I making things up? LoL

Has anyone ran a few months on 886's without any extra weight? How was the ride? I plan on adding a bumper and winch in the relatively near future so I'd rather just go with the 886's now if the ride wont be horrible.

I ran a couple weeks without any bumper at all and then added one after. The ride didn't change much and was fine the entire time. I had skids, sliders, and the crush bar on and when I added the bumper (135-150lbs) it didn't affect the ride at all really. If you have ever ridden in a 3500/350 heavy duty truck, it was like that. I found it fine.

Ive had my 886s on for about 1k miles with no bumper/winch yet, and its fine. a little firmer than stock but I like it.

Here's mine. Complete OME suspension with 885 coils, dakar leafs.

Brand new frame just installed last week. This is a 2006 trd sport.

I scrolled for about an hour and i probably missed it so i appologise i just purchased 886 and im going to put them with my 5100. To get the amount of lift i want 2.75" with my body armor steel bumper. Should i move the shock seat up from the stock setting? Thanks!

Which shock is a smoother ride with 884 coils? OME or Bilstein 5100?

Can only imagine the OME since they were designed around their coils. Can't say for sure though since I have only had OME.

Mixed information on this subject, my 884's ride great with OME's and at the time i purchased i had the same question and was told OME are matched so they are going to be best together if i wanted bilsteins i was advised eibach springs as they are essentially matched. I only recommend OME! Hope that helps

I had 5100s with 884s and they rode great. Now have 886s with nitrochargers and they ride great too. Either way the ride will be nice. If you're looking to save a little $$ go with the 5100s otherwise get the nitrochargers.
